Here with ya bro at 44. I’ve just recently managed a few super sketchy pull up bars that look like trash but it’s giving me confidence and building muscle memory to progress with it. Good luck, have fun, and be safe my fellow old dude

My favorite memories when learning hop bars was landing with the bars 90’ then getting punched in the gut by the bar end. Fun times!

Excellent video. I just started riding a set of Momentums, and they're better than I expected. The secret to my learning barspins was not worrying about catching the bars too much to land them.
@muslkatbmx31662 жыл бұрын
I watched this, I had learned to bar before, but they were super sketchy and only about half of the time would land. I forgot after breaking my ankle. Then I decided I need to get better at them. Now I can do them on banks and bank hips and off of drops. This helped so much. Thanks Spencer :)

Your tutorials are the best on KZbin. I started BMX only this year at age 37 and I have watched multiple videos of yours. You make them very simple to understand and fun to watch. I still practice my balance by trying to ride on a line in a parking lot, from another video of yours. Keep up the great work, greetings from Australia 🦘🇭🇲

Another good tip is to throw the barspin at the peak of your bunny hop, most people panic and just try to throw it straight away, but wait till you're either at the peak or just about to come down and it'll come around

After this video I'm bar spinning crazy
@seanottaway16152 жыл бұрын
From someone who just learned these. If you want to become a regular bar spinner, you need to learn the bus method, it's way more accurate and consistent in and out of weird places. The throw catch method looks cooler but it's less consistent, I hit my knee all the time and the bike gets away from you easier. If you can do them hop, you can do them anywhere. I learned them flyout and it's a totally different trick than hop. Good luck

So I started throwing bunny hop barspins but I throw it with both hands not intentionally but is there a way to break this habit? I could 100% catch the bars if I just would be able to pass it off to my other hand. When I do truck driver style I let go but grip to tight with my throw hand and it usually ends with my arm all twisted awkwardly. I’m 37 and just recently got the balls to start throwing them. I can do it on my back like in this video but when it comes to the real thing I 2 hand throw and I hate it. Anyone have any suggestions?
