The on/auto/off button is super confusing. Do you go from on to auto or off to auto? Currently, my timer is turning my lights on at the correct time, but it’s not turning them off..

@@nicholasdemskiproductreviews I'm having some issues with my time. I need the outlet to have power 23 hours & 55 minutes a day. Example, Timer turns power OFF at 5am and back ON at 5:05AM until the next day. Repeating this cycle daily. It seems its turning off at 5am, but not back on at 5:05. I have the ON setting set at 5:05 am and the off setting set at 5am. What am I doing wrong? Really need your help!!!!

@@kitt199546Make sure that your clock time is set to the correct time of day. Double check that the ON and OFF program settings you have are also set to the correct time of day. Make sure you have the program set for the correct days of the week in the program settings. If you want it everyday make sure that it's been set up for every day of the week. If it's set up for only one day that might be why it turns on one day but won't turn off the next based on your 23 hr and 55min time. If the program is set for only one day or a couple days and it goes into the next day it won't activate. For your time frame you'd have to make sure it's set for everyday of the week. You may have confused setting up the date on the clock with setting up the programs days of activity. Both of which are displayed at the top as Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa Su... Make sure you saved the program settings at the end by pressing the "clock" button. Make sure you didn't set up the On time on program 1 and then the off time on say program 2. Make sure your timer is set to "auto" this will implement the program you've set up. If you pressed the on/auto/off button you may have switched it to ON or OFF. Most likely ON which would turn your lights on at the right time but wouldn't turn them off. If it's set to ON the outlets will STAY permanently ON meaning power will flow through them. OFF cuts the flow completely, AUTO is what u want it set to, to initiate your programs. The on/auto/off is a kind of manual override in case u wanna keep your outlets on or off without un doing your program settings. It's a quick button press to permanently keep the outlets on or turn em off completely. Hope that helps clarify things a bit

Great video man thank you! I see alot of ppl seemingly comfused. I think its because you included extra technical info that kind of confuses ppl. Specifically the on/auto/off button. Many ppl dont seem to get its like a manual override button for your pre saved programs. If you decide to have the outlets always on or always off. But its the AUTO setting that implements whatever program youve set up. I think the confusion stems from how ridiculously named the button is and when you try to explain how that button works theres some speech issue in terms of ppl not being able to understand when you're telling them to turn ON the on/auto/off button and when to turn it off or set it to auto. Idk if im making sense but the wording through no fault of your own makes it hard to understand at first. I myself rewatched that part s few times before i understood when you were saying the name of the button vs. What to do with the button. As the name of the button also describes its function when you talk about it it can get tongue twisty. Like "She sells seashells by the seashore" 😂 either way great video this definitely helped me, and i thought id give my 2 cents as to y some might be confused in the comments. All in all i think most ppl understand it though after watching a few times. 💪🏽

This thing has my lights turning off on the right time, but it will not turn on by itself automatically at the right time, but it will shut off at the right time

Same. This thing is a huge mess. I’ve watched about 3 videos on it and red 2 different manuals and it still won’t function properly
@G.r.e.g.g.l.e.s9 ай бұрын
@@airbmb6132 I think you need to have the "on" program for program 1 correctly set, and you need to make sure it's set to auto. You also may be running into the issue that it's not set to all 7 days. It works for me, but my only concern is the multiple programs.
@eivartheewizard46392 ай бұрын
You maybe have the incorrect time of day set. An easy mistake to make one I almost made myself. Make sure you have the right hour to turn on. The hour cycles in 12 hr intervals 12 for AM and 12 for PM. If your time is in AM keep pressing the hour button till it goes to 12 at that point you'll be in PM and vice versa. Try that and see if it works. I did a quick test. With a 5 min interval to turn on my scooter charger at 2:05 and turn off @ 2:10. It worked. Just again- make sure your saved program times are in the correct time of day otherwise it might appear that device malfunctioned when it's really more of a user error.

@eivartheewizard46392 ай бұрын
Dude it's super simple lol. Don't let all the detail and length of the video discourage you. He gives a lot of technical info for those that wanna know it, but the basic set up for the device is in his video. All you have to do is follow his instructions, which part confused you?
@FearlessRefactoring8 ай бұрын
no offense, but you didn't explain the on/auto/off feature at all. You basically just repeated the same confusing instructions that the manufacturer's video shows. I set the programs for on and off however when the device is turned to Auto mode, the device is still active even though the time is outside the window of the program. Confusing 1 out 5 stars for this device on that alone.
@eivartheewizard46392 ай бұрын
You don't even need to press that button. I didn't even fidget with that. It's automatic on "auto" out of the box. Setting the program for the on and off time has nothing to do with the on/auto/off button. That button basically sets the outlets to On: meaning the outlets will always be on allowing power through, and a red light will glow to indicate that the outlets are now active. Auto: means it will now turn on and off based upon the programs you set up previously. You set the on time then the off time then hit clock to save the settings. In "auto" it will carry out those settings. Off: means the outlets are off. Completely. It's a manual bypass to override the program you've set. Say you just wanna turn it off you'll set it to OFF, or if you don't want the schedule you've set but don't wanna reset your program you'd switch it to ON.
@eivartheewizard46392 ай бұрын
Also when setting up the times in the program you have to make sure that you have AM and PM correctly. An easy mistake to make. You may have input the correct numbers for your time, but forgot to cycle through to the correct time of day. If u keep pressing the hour button it cycles through in 12 hour intervals. 12 hrs for AM and 12 hrs for PM. Make sure you set the correct times. Before disparaging the product it's usually down to user error of not understanding something. This product is super simple and this video explains how to set it up really easy. There's extra information in there about other buttons/features/ and functions that you can ignore. All you needed to know was how to set the clock, set the program times, save them and implement them. The on/auto/off button again is like a manual override for your programs. Ignore that button unless u plan to manually override your schedules.
