Craziest thing is that Jin is book's main. But Book didn't even play Jin until the grand finals. He played an Akuma which nobody knew he had, even beating Super Akouma with his own signature character. Then he also played Lidia. He pulled Jin out for Grand Finals and made it amazing

That's actually not a bad strategy at all if that was his intention. Keeping your best character until you absolutely need it. If that's what was intended that's great because he was a frame or two away from running it all back. Then again he should have picked Jin in the winners final in that case.

I loved how nervous they were, it felt so much more real. Book literally had so many reads that objectively were correct against his opponent, but then dropped the parries because of his indecisiveness, and likewise, Anakin baited so many whiffs and then didn't let down forward 2 rock because he was scared. This is probably my favourite Grand Finals in all of Tekken 7's lifespan.

If you look objectively at this Grand Final you will realize how unfortunate Book was to drop the combo that would give him the victory being 2-1 rounds in the end. I think fate wanted Anakin to win this tournament, choosing Lidia when Book had a lot of knowledge about how to face Jack with his Jin was a big mistake. The questionable performance of Rangchu, Gen but especially of Pinya who did not even enter the best 8 of this tournament. Anakin saw his consistency in tournaments rewarded and Book had his redemption after infamously winning the LeroyEVO.

I felt HORRIBLE for book i can only imagine how it felt for him😢 Book deserve the W after that comeback and kinda choke job from anakin, book with jin was better but anakin is just so much superior under high pressure, way too close.
