Discovered back in April that the gate-less ATSF era US&S signal facing the alley way had been replaced with a brand new Siemens modern Safetran signal unexpectedly as these gateless signals usually aren't touched. Come to find out, I was told that the ATSF era gateless signal was leaning badly when last seen. This was due to a car hitting and knocking over the signal and its foundation was damaged also resulting in BNSF replacing the entire signal and its foundation rebuilt. Later this day, I did get a side view of it head on to see its lights with a Amtrak that passed and I'll have the previous signal linked in that video. Note that the close remaining rare Safetran Type 1 Electronic Bell here is not sounding good as it starts out at its normal volumn and then it lowers and gets really quiet but then slowly starts back getting louder again.

This crossing owned by BNSF is an ATSF mixed install with the cantilevers being an ATSF 1970s signal install with its bells, lights, gates, gate lights, mechanisms, and counterweight arms changed. A gated mast has extra lights that were add ons and had a light changed. The gateless signal is an BNSF early to mid 2020s install.

Nice video! Love the horn on this unit. Something that I've been wondering is if the close Safetran Type 1 E-Bell was actually the one that was supposed to be replaced, and not the other one. It would suck to see a perfectly working Type 1 replaced for no reason, and have the other one die. We know that BNSF doesn't maintain their sigals well on this line, and they are prone to making mistakes every once in a while. If so, then this will no longer be a Safetran Type 1 crossing. It's unlikely though that this was the case.

The bell on the other side is a GS type 3 the bell on this side where he is filming is the Safetran type 1. If this bell does eventually die it will likely be replaced with a GS type 3 which may not be too far away since the bell is only ringing for like 5 seconds before it falls silent.

It's possible that the far signal's bell had just up and died one day.
