Finally back trackside after some mental RR! I ventured this day up to the Merritt, WA area on the BNSF Scenic Sub. After catching just one train at W. Merritt (a lot of MOW is being done on the sub) I decided to drive the nearby abandoned section of rightaway abandoned by the Great Northern (as far as I can tell sometime in the late 1940's). It's quite overgrown but was doable at least with my Jeep.
As always, thanks for watching and sticking with the channel while I took some much-needed time away. 😀

Great video! Really great idea for using you smart phone. They do a really great job. How would you turn around if you had too? I felt like I was on the trail too! Have really missed your videos. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us.

Thanks Valerie. Smart phones have gotten so much better in the last few years that its hard to tell the difference from my GoPro 9. Turning around involves making due with very little space, driving over things or backing up. That's why the Jeep is so good in exploring. And yes, I've missed making my videos as well. Its been a tough summer, with the heat, home projects, vehicle maintenance (2 vehicles plus my Dad's vehicle) allergies and a bout of anxiety. With that said, as the weather cools a bit (in the 100's again next week though) I will be out more. And yes, August will be taking me to a really awesome rail location out of state that I've never videod before. 😊
