Maybe for when he fouls it off and it hits him. Thats what i think. Maybe?

Yeah, it’s the foul ball off the shin that he’s protecting.

Push swing

he needs to go talk to his dad again and learn to hit the ball deep in the zone, has fallen in love with power and his hitting has suffered, maybe the organization has told him to improve his power numbers over being a good hitter, they often do that and it can cause big issues for guys who aren't made that way, power comes from good contact not swinging from your shoe tops. ps. not talking about rhis particular swing just his current season so far.

I love that donkey kick stride. One of the quickest bats I've ever seen. Bo and Gary Sheffield.

Love the hitting guru comments. Clowns. Everything in pro baseball is measured. His hip turn is the fastest in baseball and it’s not even close. He generates the fastest bat speed from the launch position to the spot where his hands reach the midway point before contact. He generates as much torque as anyone which explains three things; his ability to generate power from a smaller than average big league frame, the ability to see the ball as long as anyone and utilize the opposite field and the injury to his lower half. You can’t teach it. It’s god given. Same as throwing 98. You can learn the movement but can’t learn the pure ability. Either you can rake or you can’t.

Remember when they used to say wrapping the bat was bad?
@camsmith3887 Жыл бұрын
That’s not wrapping the bat. Look at his bat when his toe strikes
@danielhoward4566 Жыл бұрын
@@camsmith3887 But before toe strike it looks like it is wrapped. They used to say to not have your elbow up either and now many players do that also.

Not the prettiest swing I’ve ever seen

Indeed. He flies open very quickly but does a good job keeping his back hand to the pitcher.
