People! Bo Burnham is a performer. Without disputing the fact that he really and truly has experienced panic attacks (I believe him when he says he has, and I believe many, many others have panic attacks as well) it’s important to realize, also, that he is performing the part of being a performer who has panic attacks. The proper response when you see a performer presenting the “experience” of a panic attack is to admire his craft. When you see someone out in the “real world” presenting with the symptoms of a panic attack, see if you can get him some help. This is NOT a knock on Burnham. I think Burnham is the balls. I’m putting the knock on people who have trouble differentiating between real life and performance.

I don't want to recover from INSIDE. It was more of a look into Bo's mind with catchy songs than a typical stand up special, closer to a work of art honestly. For years he's been funny but left underlying messages about how taxing it can be how he would have done things differently if he knew, etc. INSIDE honestly made me take a deeper look at my mental health due to also turning 30, crippling anxiety, how I'm disassociating more than ever, the state of the world etc. It was one of the most depressing things I've seen but also one of the most relatable things I've seen in a very long time. 6:22 Bo slowly turning to the comedian and singing directly looking in his eyes and the comedian laughs... put this in one of those “no burnham moments I’m attracted to” videos because the POWER in that eye contact is STUNNING

Bo did acting roles? I tought he just did his music/shows/specials stuff. i heard about that one movie he directed, never saw the movie.

Saw the movie in the theatre -- it was good.

The movie he directed is called 8th Grade it's on Netflix. He also starred in his own sitcom called Zach Stone is Gonna be Famous, acted in the new movie Promising Young Woman, and I heard he's playing Larry Bird in a new biopic or something

definitely, it painted him in a true light, INSIDE was Bo when the cameras turn off, when he’s left alone and trapped with his own thoughts. he’s just like the rest of us: unhappy and unwell.

I've been a huge Bo Burnham fan for roughly 9 years and I didn't know about Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous. Suffice to say, I didn't get much sleep last night.

Not a REAL fan then….
@DisarMn3 жыл бұрын
@@taraextracherry Apparently it was on MTV? I never watched MTV and I guess I never saw him advertise it on social media. Anyways, that show is EASILY in my top 5 now. I've never spit out my drink while watching a show, and this one made me. 10/10
@bayonetababe96973 жыл бұрын
@@DisarMn I’m new to Bo so I’ve been playing catch up. I definitely had never heard of “Zack Stone is Gonna Be Famous” but once I saw a clip I knew I had to watch it. I kept saying just one more episode but of course I ended up binging the whole show. It was so good but I don’t watch MTV. I’m sure if it had been on Comedy Central more people would have watched it.
@DisarMn3 жыл бұрын
@@bayonetababe9697 Same here lol. To be fair though, it's an easy show to binge since every episode is like 20 minutes and there's only 12 episodes, equaling 4 hours I think. It's a shame there isn't a second or third season. But if you just got into Bo, you have a lot to watch, so consider yourself lucky!
