He's right; the behaviors are not new, but the scary thing is how technology increases the ease and efficiency of how those toxic behaviors can be performed.

At the same time, though, there is a shame culture. People being taught to find shame in things that otherwise didn't affect them as much, because that gets you attention and sympathy and authority. People TRY to find ways in which they can claim that their parents or exes abused them, because being a victim is now a status of power. That's just as much of an issue these days. It's all about finding a balance.
@calisongbird Жыл бұрын
@@Phatnaru0002I wouldn’t call it “shame culture” as much as “victim culture.” The problem is, people who ARE legitimately victims of abuse or actual crime (like myself… I was kidnapped and raped 35 years ago) get buried in the noise of the attention-seekers who think victimhood is something to brag about.

Am I the only one waiting to see an interview with Bo talking about Inside?
@NoneofYourBusiness6673 жыл бұрын
Same. It’s his modern masterpiece, but ever since releasing it he’s been very quiet. Looking forward to him coming back into the public space and maybe doing some late night shows or something. I’m not even sure if he gave a speech after winning the 4 Emmys, I’ll have to look that up.

Off Camera actually provide their guests with colorblinding contact lenses before they enter the room where they keep Sam Jones hostage. They're made of the same material as their camera lenses, so not only can they see in monochrome, they have 20/20 vision for the duration of the interview. It's wild stuff.

The chemical mouse metaphor was really clever. Something that has always been unspoken of but not taking up much space, now still being unspoken of but also suddenly taken up a lot more space. A mouse transforms into an elephant

I’m so thankful I’ve never had anything social media wise outside of KZbin, which it’s anonymous so I don’t really consider it the same as the others. I hear people talk about how horrible it is and how they are doing to delete it but they are to addicted to it and never do. I don’t understand how people can handle spending year after year on those platforms arguing and trying to promote themselves.
