I want bo to get interviewed in a way where he has no time constraints and can just read questions and talk and talk and talk because I’m always wondering what the rest of his train of thought would be after someone ends it, not that it’s necessarily bad and he doesn’t seem upset, but I’m just that intrigued

You would love his appearances on the You Made It Weird podcast! They're all 2 or 3 hours long and the host encourages him to go really deep on a lot of topics. Some of the politics didn't age well but he's also a lot more raw on that podcast than I've seen him in taped interviews like these.

Valhalla Why?
@valhalla12406 жыл бұрын
Just because most Ted Talks suck. They usually have a very plain generic message like: "this is why you should live life to the fullest", or: "give more hugs". They often try to seem sciency, but aren't actually scientific, because if they were, they'd be held in symposium and the main reason they can't do that is because 1) they have little to no data to support their hypotheses and 2) they overreach by FAR in their explanatory claims. (Like for example: "In modern societies the classic heroism-trope - a single man giving his life for his country - is being replaced by boys running amok" ... is something I have heard in an actual Ted Talk. And it wasn't even among the worst ones). But the main reason why I hate Ted Talks is because they try sooo hard to seem woke, yet always manage to be late to the table. Like a woman in her fifties encouraging women in their twenties to "explore their sexuality", or a straight man talking about why he isn't affraid of these ominous gays ... To be honest, if Bo ever gave a Ted Talk, I'd watch it. But mainly because most things Bo says in an interview are more profound, insightful and are actually logical compared to a Ted Talk. I still hope he won't though.

Guys, the only reason you don’t like Grace “interrupting” is because you’re used to Bo going on long (but interesting) tangents in more of a speech/standup format, but that’s not how this kind of rapid fire interview works. She let him talk enough, but she had to keep going with the questions.

@@VivianDelphine I agree, I applaud her. she first of all was truly interested and was really listening to him and hearing the message and seemed like she wished they were just talking, not taping to just completely hear him out but it was a live taped t v interview and she had to maintain a normal back and forth conversation flow and the audience expected Funny and either they added prerecorded laugh tracks or half of the audience were so vapid and dumb that they kept laughing at everything, assuming that it was a funny joke and they don't want people to know that they didn't get it
