Isn't citadel de morts better. Parasite turn zombies to dopelghast and dopels turn into amalgamations. The light sword parasites can be turned into round parasites turning 4 zombies to dopels and those dopels when left alone for long enough will mutate to amalgoms.

You can get more elite zombies by doing the water valve and the vermins count as an elite

go to the newest map and turn on oil trap and throw a molotov on the oil and have the weapon in your hand as it kills all the zombies

Ive been finding success with Aether Shroud and the Espresso augment for Melee Macchiato. Otherwise, the oil trap strat on Citadel using a molotove and keeping your weapon out is the next best thing and a bit easier.
