I prefer the corrugated board. It is all I have used for years, and it works great for what I need and do. What I like least is bark substrate. I feel it is more of a hassle than I prefer, but this is what makes keeping fun.. Learning what works for different folks. I also think where we live has a lot to do with which substrates work best. Where I live, humidity is 90-98% sometimes in the summer, and water spilled on bark can cause unhealthy humidity levels. Also, I really appreciate your acknowledging the magnificence in all Boas. It bothers me to hear folks say 'true red tails' are more beautiful than 'common Boas', etc. We need to appreciate them all the same.

That corrugated paper molds something aweful in the summer. Ammonia is such a huge issue. Alot of collections will make your eyes water. Room ventilation when you get a lot of animals is as important as cage ventilation. Good video. I love how you just talk off the cuff. I'd love to share a meal with you some day.

I switched from corrugated cardboard to indented craft paper. Cheaper, smaller roll is easier to store, still has some texture to it, and I feel like the cardboard was sometimes dusty. I add a layer of newspaper under it for some added absorption for spills and messes.

@@jsanborn40 the most annoying part for the cardboard was the instant ammonia smell. And almost instant mold in high humidity

No coco chips? I use coco chips for mine. No dust, keeps humidity nicely and doesn't mold. Easy to clean urates and poop too. Mine also like to burrow in it a bit, especially as babies.
