Accurate review. I have multiple customs. Dont ride them much tho. Too stiff.

Nice Method! I have been riding a custom for sometime now with lots of family tree boards in between and always come back to the custom. I size up for free riding. I prefer a board with a tail to pop off and the stability/ effective edge of full camber. I love it for pow.

Everyone hates on Burton but my 22/23 Custom Camber is pretty much the board I always want to grab on the first day when I’m not sure what I want to do or how the snow is etc.. it’s just a super fun, predictable, do anything board. I don’t have a ton of different brands to compare it to but IMO it’s the perfect do anything board. The new forces are perfect on it too, pretty much the exact set up I’m rockin

I picked one up last year after ride similar style boards from endeavor, capita, and ride. My only gripe is edgehold, and that's something that comes up often in reviews about burton. In perfect snow is negligible, but if you get into some harder snow its noticeably subpar compared to others ive been on. That being said, its a fun board imo. The slippage you get is predictable/controllable, so it not a big deal if you're a good rider. Every other attribute is great imo

@@szaret1 I have a 23/24 Custom 156. I havent had a problem with edge hold. Could just be my experience. Admittedly, I also don't have a ton of board time with other boards. Wondering which others you have in mind whose edge hold was better.
@ElValuador28 күн бұрын
@@szaret1Correct. I rode Burton for seven years until I tried other brands and learned just how bad the edge hold was in everything but perfect snow and pow.

In reality there aren’t that many people who ‘hates’ Burton per se. And even so most of it stems from jealously.

Love my Custom Camber - come back to it as the board Id keep for a one board quiver … not really sure why people don’t like the edge hold, personally I find it’s the right balance between something washy like the Capita Mercury and anything with magna-traction which I find grips too much and trips up eventually … boards are meant to slide, aren’t they?
@s81n8 күн бұрын
I never had this one but I had a 2009 custom x and it was the best board I ever owned. Unfortunately I did damage it and replaced it with a neversummer protosynthesis which I absolutely hate. I realized non-camber boards are not for me.

Got a custom two years ago. I think it was too much board for me as a beginner. Just picked up a ripcord hoping it will help me progress a bit better. For what its worth I only board about a half dozen times a year.
@AugustBMWКүн бұрын
Hey, are you happy with ripcord after custom? I bought too custom, but for me As more beginner i fell stiffness too much 😊

how good is the lib tech cold brew? i picked one up it was on sale for a great price. i just kinda want to get a review before i take it out. I mostly ride resorts with my buddies nothing crazy hit some jumps here and there
@DERECHTE451Ай бұрын
I've got an older libtech cold brew, from 2021 or 2022 season I guess, it's a good allrounder, it just works, I've done smaller jumps on it, works, slopes, work, a bit of pow, works, can't say any negatives about it, maybe it could have a bit more popp, but it's not a freestyle board so

nice! i've riden the custom camber 154 for a few seasons, its an awesome board. now im looking for something a bit more directional, i have my eyes on the superpig 148. would you say that's a big step up? how does it compare? I'm you size basically
@maness2112Ай бұрын
It doesn't compare, 2 different boards.

@@maness2112 thats why I'm asking. I've never riden a stiff diretional volume shifted board before.

I rode Burton for almost a decade and the k2 passport and alchemist have been freeride revelations to me. The edge hold alone is worth it.
