Great reporting. Here's 4 tips: if you want some extra space and your suitcases are cluttering your cabin. There's plenty of space under your beds. Also, you don't need your cabin card to keep on the a/c and electrics. Any credit card size card will do the same. Keep your wallets in the vault. You'll never need cash on a Carnival ship. If your thinking souvenirs or T Shirts wait till day 5 and beyond. Prices often fall 50 % on the last couple of days.

That room configuration is great to rearrange. Turn the beds 90 degrees so your head is next to the sliding glass door. This way you are not climbing over your friend if they are sleeping and you want to go on the balcony.

I was on it during the ships first thanksgiving cruise. It was the best ship I’ve ever been on and I miss it so much. I will definitely convince my family if we can go in it again if not that then the new Carnival Jubilee almost exactly like it which will be at my home port, port of Galveston.

My Aunt (who loves cruising) took her very first cruise on Carnival's Mardi Gras which was their original ship they bought from Canadian Pacific when they started the company (the company stack design is a variation on CP's corporate logo design with the colors changed)

Convenient trick - put your library or Costco card in the light switch. Won't matter if you forget it (free new ones!) And you can keep the power going for charging while you're out.
