We sailed in the Excel Suites on the Celebration, so we had access to Loft 19. Let's just say, it's worth the upcharge. Getting private access to the pool and there are plenty of other parks. You get a free bottle of champagne, 6 bottles of water, wait staff that will bring you food from any restaurant on the ship. Plus 8 people to one cabana. It's way less crowded there than anywhere on the ship.

With thousands of people and crew on board does it seem crowded wherever you go, or are there quieter areas? I don't think i would be comfortable on a huge ship like that.

our first meal was at Shaq's when we did Mardi Gras. That was about 13 months ago. The fast foods and street foods were all really good. The mdr, the complimentary Pig and anchor, chibang were really all just so-so. Pig and anchor was giving really small portions and some people went up, reached through to grab tongs and get more to eat. If you can report back on how the mdr and P&A are looking, that would be good.

Merry Christmas! I’ll be interested in your opinion of the ship’s layout at the end of the cruise. I found Mardi Gras too big… casual food venues too spread out if your travel companions want different food options, main walk ways through the middle of venues like a piano bar. Vista class is the biggest I want to sail. Enjoy!

I’m glad I have cruised Carnival before because most videos of the sail away party looks sooo ridiculously packed. Thankfully, As soon as the party is over the ship becomes well spaced out, quieter and comfortable.

Since you said this was your first cruise out of Texas, not sure if you’ll mention it in more in depth videos - the drink package doesn’t start till the next day on cruises based out of Texas. I bet things picked up a lot more today than they did yesterday! People are gonna be more restrained until that package kicks in.

his price is particularly bad. Our family of 4 did Mardi Gras a year ago, over Thanksgiving and I think it was less than what he paid for one person! We typically always seem to find something for around 100pppd, sometimes all in one room, or sometimes two insides...

Royal has let the Navigator got to seed, they haven't spent a dime on the ship, in years. I was on it in November this year, wow what a sad decline to a once proud lady. A ship that revolutionized Royal Caribbean, so sad!

Long time RCCL/Celebrity cruiser. Last April we were on the Mardi Gras out of Canaveral. It had been 10 years since we had been on Carnival. We had the BEST cruise for entertainment food bars music EVERYTHING. I'll be interested in your experience

Same we were always loyal to Royal as well and we took a cruise on the carnival panorama and altogether the cruise was just ok our room due to the smoke stacks left soot all over our balcony that we were never able to use it and carnival did Nothing for us. Offered us a 25 on-board credit on next cruise which is nothing so were done with carnival. Lots and lots of rude obnoxious people on board and the hallways were loud with people drinking partying and screaming. Kids running around unsupervised all the time and so many people on their phones at the pool talking so loud so everyone could hear them you know the type I'm talking about like look at me! We saw 2 very large women fighting over one skinny guy they each had each other's wigs in there hands while throwing punches and security came by twice to break them up. The ship was nice but the large groups of gangsters ruined it so were back to Royal again. One thing on Royal is the chair hogs. OMG the chair hogging is out of control on Royal Caribbean they really need to do something about this.

@@bigguy1403 I had the same experience 10 years ago on the Victory. My suggestion is to try the Celebration or one of the two new Italian ships. There are really two Carnivals; old and new. You need to study closely, if they are old ships or these new, higher end ones.

Thank you for this video, lookin forward to your final review. We're excited to have the Jubilee close to us. Galveston is in a transition process I believe, she's becoming a more popular cruise ship port. She needs some upgrades, but I expect to see some soon. Since we live about 45 minutes to an hour away, we don't mind the distance. Hobby Airport is closer than IAH. Galveston is new to the larger ships, hopefully the embarkation process will be smoother with a little time. Looking forward to sailing on the Jubilee this summer 😊

The night club on the first night leaving out of Galveston is usually slow because the drink package doesn’t kick in till the second day. At least that’s what I noticed when I sailed on the Vista.
