Today we embark upon our first vacation as empty nest travelers (couple travel without kids): a Princess cruise ship sailing from the beautiful port of Sydney Harbour to the southern Australian island state of Tasmania. Join us as we board and explore our ship, sail away down the harbour, and head out to sea. We discover what activities, food and entertainment are on offer on our 7 day Princess cruise.

Hi, we are Lydia & Chris, an empty nest couple who have traveled the world together for 30 years.
We love where we live in Newcastle, Australia and we are avid travelers. We started this vlog to share our travel tales with our KZbin family and friends, and to also show off our beautiful region.
We met traveling around Europe in 1995 and, since then, have traveled to more than 50 countries. We love discovering new places and cultures, meeting people, and trying local cuisines (including gluten free options).
Over the years we have migrated from backpacking, to family travel, and now back to couple traveling again. With the kids doing their own thing, we have decided to dust off our backpacks (now suitcases) and start planning our next adventures. So grab a cup of coffee and come roving with us.

We did this voyage to Tasmania on Majestic Princess last November 20-27. One of the best cruises we have ever done! Only problems were it was over too soon, and we had a family with several wild boys down the corridor from us and they would run madly down the hallways shouting and press all the elevator buttons.

We really enjoyed it. They have a great itinerary. Yes, holidays are never long enough. That would have been very frustrating. So glad that you had a wonderful cruise. 😊

who did you buy the cruise through that you received all those perks?

It is a great ship and had a great itinerary so I would definitely go again. We wouldn’t rate the night time entertainment highly, but it depends what you are going on the cruise for and also your age demographic.

I don’t know what you paid, but the booze package is never worth it. Everybody likes free drinks, and everybody likes espresso and cappuccinos however, if you look at the cost benefit analysis, you’ll find that you’re paying a lot more for the drink package if you can possibly drink every day.

We agree. We got a really great all inclusive deal otherwise we would just pay as we go. :-)
