Notice: I distance myself from the artist’s obvious satanic belief. From now on this upload is only here to inform about that.

@Program74 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question and i asked myself the same for a longer time. Because at the end (as a christian) i had only two choices. Either i erase all the videos or i do what i do now… and that’s to inform the people thereover. Me think that is the better option because this way i can maybe bring a bit clarity to the listeners.
@Program74 жыл бұрын
Really? And why they mention the devil clearly too much? 1. devil / a few old tunes (1996) 2. peace-tony-devil / old tunes vol. 2 (1996) 3. the devil is in the details / geogadd (2001) 4. the devil is in the details (reverse) / geogaddi (reverse) (2002) If i also count the voice in their one track named ’’you could feel the sky (reverse)’’ who say ’’a god with hooves, a god with horns’’ then we have them already mentioning the devil 5 times. Also is their album called ’’geogaddi’’ exact 66:06 min in length. The standard version of geogaddi does even have a file size of 666mb as well.

Thats how it is at any clubnight, not just with BoC nights lol. Its literally part and parcel of clubbing, you WILL hear people in the crowd, and often times (luckily, not this time!) you'll have an MC too who will be shouting stuff on the mic riling up the punters even more.
@jeschergui4 жыл бұрын
I see the sarcasm and as I agree that all the constant talking is bad and constant, it is still become a part of this unique recording. As far as I researched then this tune doesn't exist in any other form. So, now when i play it... the talking is an integral part of it!

It's hilarious to think that the people over talking this concert must have thought "oh they will tour again for sure... " "i'm sure they are just a flash in the pan" But in reality it's the electronic equivalent to talking over The Beatles playing in the Cavren.
@Chipster9719 жыл бұрын
KylaTron Boards of Canada tracks often have samples of people talking in them. I personally think it fits in with the BoC aesthetic quite nicely.

+Chip Agreed. BoC tracks blend better with being talked over than most music. Also, +Kylatron, the Beatles fans could get much louder than the people at BoC gigs.

I welcome it. As a classical musician, I am upset that people feel uncomfortable. they can't talk during pieces. they can't clap during the music or between movements. I'm glad that with electronic music people are free to express themselves.
@CaropBec Жыл бұрын
Pretty sure it's just being picked up because those people are right next to the mic (maybe even the tapers themselves?). The sound would have been very loud, you need to shout in people's ears to be heard at these kind of shows so I really don't think they were disturbing anyone lol

Geogaddi - "Geo" - Earth "Gad" - Runs Wild "Di" - Again These boys were not Satanists, far from it in fact. They were just very clever, and they know how to make people like you uncomfortable.
@Program73 жыл бұрын
I don't deny that they are quite clever indeed with hiding stuff. It seems almost like they can explain every negative activity, with some simple explanation and the people buy it. But it is all not that easy. From where do you know for sure that they are no satanists? Can you prove it? I cannot prove that they are satanists, but nor can you prove that they are no satanists.
@iphaneron92443 жыл бұрын
@@Program7 you operate by fallacy, the reasoning you have to believe they are Satanists is called Argument from Ignorance, and is a blatant fallacy. You are the type of person who labels an Artist a derogatory term because they used their medium as a voice about the subject. Was Heironymus Bosch a Satanist because he painted paintings depicting his interpretation of Hell? No, he is just an Artist, using his medium to make commentary. The same way Boards of Canada used their medium to make commentary on the state of the world leading up to Geogaddi, specifically in reference to the Branch Davidians. You lack any type of wholistic understanding of Fine Art and allow religion to cloud your judgement.

@@iphaneron9244 This my friend, has to be the best and well written response I've read to OP. To call BOC Satanist because they have a singular album based around the whole theme is so meticulous. You might aswell call anyone else one aswell if they name or make something vaguely related to the devil at that point. He's responded to posts up to a year ago, but not this one, I wonder why... Perhaps, you set a good example of a well worded and sharp-minded individual able to actually argue without insults. I've seen OP even bring up the fact the song "Peacock Tail" Is satanic aswell, what a Quack. As the other fellow Connor said, you should write a novel, this has to be so well written and wholehearted goodness behind this message to prove such a point that is well. Thank you for this.

One of the reasons there's so much extra noise of people talking, is that on the night itself the local government decided not to allow to open the main stage area. Since it was situated on the water side, the Warp party would be visible on the opposite side of the water where a bunch of corrupt bankers were having their own fetish party. Therefore the capacity of the venue was almost split in half... with the same amount of people inside. It asked for a huge improvisation from the organization, artists and security and also the guests had to deal with this (obviously) overcrowded situation.
