I remember the actor who plays Cantor talking about doing this scene. He said it was a very hard scene to do because the Michael K. Williams and the other guy "are just the nicest guys in real life." They were trying so hard to be intimidating and he was trying so hard to look scared and inevitably, one of them would start laughing and it would set them all off!!

@yes1sir1no1sir9 жыл бұрын
buddhafyre I think it's a fantastic scene with solid performances however I do not believe it can be called a "hidden message". In fact I am not entirely sure that it can even be called a *message* at all It is just "what is happening in the scene". I feel to point out something that is so patently obvious in the comment section of a KZbin is, at the very best, redundant and is insulting to our intelligence at the worst. In conclusion I think the faux-analysis, with it's grandiose language and the "Beating around the bush" structure usually used by students who need to pad out a poorly planed essay, came across as pretentious. I think the well loved Shakespearean poet and playwright "William Shakespeare" said it best when he said that "Brevity is the soul of wit". It is because of this quotation, that Mr.W.Shakespeare said, I believe it is best to just make a point in as few choice words as possible as that demonstrates a true mastery of the English language especially because that is why I believe the comment was made. To sum up; I don't believe this comment was left in an attempt to share an astute observation about an otherwise esoteric extract of contemporary film art, I believe it was left in and attempt to show of. In short; The showing of is, in it's self, not much of a problem in-fact almost all of humanities greatest achievements where made in an attempt to show of: Tutankhamun built the Sphinx in order to make is dick look big as well as to make every forget about his gammy leg, Van Gogh cut his ear of to appear all nonchalant and cool for some girl or whatever and I kill squirrels with a hammer to assert my authority to dinner guests. So basically the showing of is not what i have a problem with...It is the cack-handedness of the attempt. The comment is rife with grammatical and spelling errors...But it's late and I've been typing this comment for hours so maybe i should sum this up. So essentially what I'm trying to say is; If you've got a point to make...Just hurry up and make it...It's not cool to ramble on and on, using fancy words in an attempt to impress strangers on the internet, Unless you're satirising the very concept of "rambling on and on" and "using fancy words in an attempt to impress strangers on the internet" in order to make a point like I am right now...Then it's funny and sexy and clever and you look really cool in front of everyone. So in conclusion...*Ure dumb.* Lot's of loves and hugs- ISureDoLikeCats xoxox

FOXO you ain’t smart buck, back then there was no such thing as just buying clothes off the rack, everyone was dressed dapper as fuck (even poor people) because you had to get all your clothes made to fit. Solid acting at the end…the short breathes he takes in between the singing is because the airway is constricting due to the panic / adrenaline setting in… …but he’s also hilariously a performer; so he’s also making sure what he sings is still clear (and it actually is!). The defeated flop at the end when he can’t continue was solid gold. Behind the scenes, those pauses might actually have been the actor trying not to laugh…if so, that’s a nice way to twist the appearance.
