Actually, Margy, it wasn't nearly as bad as we've had in the past! But having a nice room helps because an afternoon break is a MUST in my opinion. I seriously don't know how anyone can stand the parks from 1 - 5 in the summer! That's my nap and pool time;).

The balcony is huge. The view is gorgeous. The room is really nice. It seems big for a studio. It is great they included such a big open space for suitcases. It would be a nice room to come and relax in after a day at the parks.

You will love it! Here's a tip: our only room request was "close to transportation". Some of the rooms in that category can feel super far away from the lobby. Have a great time!

Jen We went on a Disney Cruise this past February (absolutely fantastic! Cannot say anything bad at all) and our veranda was bigger then our room!! It was perfect!

I lived in a board walk villa studio room. I didn’t get that big of a deck. For me it was a small balcony where two people could sit in a chair - that’s about it.

Yes, that's what most of the rooms have. This one room is definitely an exception!

That balcony is crazy! We've stayed in studios and 1Bdrms at BWV and have never had a balcony like that! Must be something about that particular curve that they needed to expand the balcony.

we have stayed in studios in all the BWV view categories and never a balcony that large! We have never been lucky enough to get a room overlooking Village green, wonder if that studio is the only one with huge balcony or if there a row of rooms with similar?

I just stayed at Boardwalk for my 21st birthday! We were in room 4290 which isn’t a villa but the room was huge! It had two queen beds and a couch that pulled down to a twin bed, a tiny step out balcony but a double vanity in the bathroom and a huge entry way with closet. Honestly it was the biggest standard hotel room I’ve ever seen. It would be great for a family with older/bigger kids so everyone has a little more room to spread out in. It was way more room than myself, friend, and mom needed. I loved the Boardwalk and so wish I had stayed longer than two nights

Jen Lefforge it was epic. My next goal is to go over to Yacht and Beach. I babysat for some family friends of a teacher who were staying out there when I was in high school and thought it was great, i loved the pool. Now I want to go there as a guest and do less park time and more pool time

The balcony is nice, man, so jealous of you. One day honey, as they say. This is definitely when the kids are out and about, adults. I went to the boardwalk, in January, to take in the area, and walk around, beautiful grass area, kids were kicking a soccer ball, it all felt so homey and warm. I am saving that room number for years down the road, for sure. 😁

Just an FYI for anyone staying in any of the rooms with the pull down beds (Murphy bed), they are slightly smaller than a standard twin bed. They are 29" x 67", and a standard twin is 38" x 75".

YES thank you for pointing that out! As a mom of 3 young men over 6'1" tall, this is an important thing to factor in. The one on the murphy bed would end up being ME!

I know some people don't like the plastic cutlery, but as a germaphobe I very much love it. I know it is not "green" to have it, but I always make sure to clean it off and put it in with our recycling. I love that that the room is bright and, yes, I would totally send the kid out to that balcony to run circles so that Adrian and I could have a quiet moment in the air conditioned room. 😆

Did he end up sleeping on the pull out sofa bed or the pull down Murphy bed? How did he say the bed was? I’m on the fence about renting points for boardwalk or BLT or just booking for a little cheaper at CSR or POP.

The fold outs are never as comfortable as a regular bed, but my son slept fine. I think the murphy beds they are putting in the newer resorts (and the SSR refurbishment) are definitely more comfortable.

Rebecca - NO totally NOT normal! Most Boardwalk Studios have very small balconies so that's why I was so shocked! But it's still an AMAZING resort.

No not on this visit. So we didn't receive housekeeping the whole time we were there. This was on arrival day. Great question! I've actually never opted in to housekeeping for a DVC visit.

Do you know how much it is? Staying DVC rental for the first time? Do they still change out towels and trash if you ask?

@@ashleys4584 I'm actually not sure! And you get trash and towel service on the 4th day of your stay. There is a conveniently located trash chute where you can take your garbage and they always supply extra bags and if you're in a 1 bedroom or larger, you can always run a load of towels. They're supposed to charge for towels but we've asked many times and always got fresh ones without paying - your experience may vary!

They will make sure the villa is stocked with all of that and if you run out, just call down and they'll send some up! You don't get daily housekeeping, but they will happily make sure you have paper products and stock you with plenty of towels! Great question!

Well, even having stayed in this room, I would still request "close to transportation" because Boardwalk Villas is a HUGE resort so you can be very far away from the lobby. Thanks for watching, Chris!

That is definitely a refurb room. They still left some of the original cabinetry which is an advantage because it makes for more storage. I haven't seen that really nice chest of drawers in the other [90's] refurbs. Wish BCV had that additional space!

Great room tour! That balcony is amazing 😊. When we stayed at the Beach Club villas a few years ago our studio was on a corner and our balcony was rather long (not deep like that though)...it might of wrapped around the corner a bit, I can't remember. Our DVC friends we were vacationing with were very jealous we got the cool balcony haha.

Hi! My family of five are stuck between renting dvc at beach club or boardwalk. We were thinking beach club for the pool, but this room looks a lot bigger than beach. What do you think?

If you have kids, stick with Beach Club because the pool cannot be beat and that's what your kids will care about. And the rooms there are very large as well. You will LOVE the Beach Club!
