Actually very nice for more than casual boating. I think I could live on something like this. I had a little "wow" moment when I saw that micro washing machine. Nice.

+James Green just think of it as if you choose to have a bigger bed or make a proper wall for a bedroom, you'd have to loose something else or ~~ maybe the lounge ! BTW The expression is "Other than that...........". Cheers, Alison. xoxox

Nice use of space but they really need to utilize the rooftop for a hanging out area. Maybe they do but they didnt show it. I saw a ladder going up. On houseboats Ive rented, the roof is the chill spot. Just my two cents

Reminds me of a SeaCamper of the 1970s and 80s. This doesn't come with the upper bridge (an option?). ;-) The SeaCamper I saw had twin inboard Volvo Penta engines (80s hade one Penta), stairs on stern (flips down). I'm not keen having stairs blocking the pilots vision.

@MYTOYMAKERZ7 жыл бұрын
These motors have hydraulic lifts to raise them up in a travel position that also locks them in place so they don't drop down and hit their prop.
@robshenn84027 жыл бұрын
Its a standard outboard installation, the same as any trailer boat, they have electric tilt, any short shaft 30 hp will fit, the engines don't need to be raised when launching as the CaraBoat floats off the trailer, makes it really simple.

@davidburnham42 Жыл бұрын
How does it handle the waves? Keeping in mind that I have not piloted an Escape 2 but own an Adventure Craft 2800 Houseboat, this style of boat is NOT a trawler. It is not intended to replace a trawler type boat. This IS an improvement over a pontoon style boat, and it will handle the waves in a similar way as a large pontoon boat will. The advantage that the Boat a Home has over my Adventure Craft Houseboat is that it doesn't have a cockpit in the bow that can fill when a large wave breaks over the bow of the boat.

@@davidburnham42 I made this Comment 6 years ago! So I had to re-watch it! I am still against the carpet - sand embedded in carpet is a no go for me! The only other thing I note, being 6 years older, is the door swinging open against the ladder; I would have a problem getting around the door to go up the ladder to the roof deck. But I still love the it!

I built my own house-boat,not that complicated,the most important is the base,four huge heavy-duty "alu floats"filled with Marine foam,then a "plexi-Glass platform (4 inches thick)10X4 Meters,then light wood,and "dynamat-insulation all over,two powerful Jetski engines,two stages living spaces,Solars panels,Gaz heaters,All around LED lights,large rear platform,for fishing and swimming(Two tons)all.TV,BBQ,beds and fridges/ freezers,sleeps 8 people easy,cost me 20K to build,now I need a trailer to"sail" MONTANA lakes,(Salmon/trouts)smoker on board and Anchors.......!!!!!!

It's a death trap! In bad weather conditions a sudden squall could roll it over the surface like a cardboard box. Lose power out there with inclement weather approaching it's too late to regret your purchase. Anyone who takes their family on one has their lives in their hands. With a lot of people onboard it would be susceptible to dangerous listing when everyone moved to one side to look at something. But it's that wind catching high sided box on top of the hull that makes this craft seriously dangerous in my opinion as a former 500tn Master Upon Oceans.

No land needed when you have 🛥 boat a 🏡 home. One day I will buy this boat and ⛵ sail across all rivers in my country. No thiefs, no road bumps, no check posts, no lifts, no traffic 🚥, no stopping for natural call, ready to drink available water 💦 on board and mainly 🍲 🐠 what not, I will roam with my home 🏡. Feeling at home 🏡, while your home move along with you where ever you go can be possible only through water 💦 ways and it's cheap. Road ways are OK but it depends on the road. Water ways easy way to travel just a channel of 💦 to pass through. Great idea in my do list 📃.
