@@151johny in Video number 5 I included a clip from another video after asking the author. And I also linked this video in the description. It is in German. But it is of fantastic quality showing you exactly how to modify that Raymarine. So check out video number 5 and you have a very precise instruction 🙂

Great presentation. You stated in the video that you purchased the main wiring loom ready made. Do you have a link so I can purchase ? Many thanks. Am looking forward to the rest of the build.

Hi I know you already do a nice job . On the app. I have something that I would love to add. I would ask if you could add favorites in the edit parameters list . It would be much easier to adjust the motor rpm . And other things .

That's a good idea. It is actually on my todo list, just not had the time for it (and sadly will not have time either in the near future). But for sure, a screen with the most useful parameters to set will be time saving indeed!

good morning, I am writing through a translator. please write me where I can buy the raymarine dragonfly set that you show in the video. I have already found the signal amplifier. I don't know where to buy the rest. Thank you for your answer.

Well. Shops dealing with boat equipment would be the first to try. Living here in Norway, around 95 % of the components needed for a baitboat must be purchased abroad. But Raymarine I can get here locally. There is a rumor this mode is about to be cancelled. So if you want one then do not wait too long Did a quick search and found new and used also on eBay. As for online shops abroad I do not have a list for Raymarine.

Where did you purchase the prefabricated cabling system? How can I find it to buy?
@TheCarpPilot9 ай бұрын
I bought it together with the hull as a kit. It came tith all the right lengths and connectors to fit the boat. Not easy to build something like that for any boat...

How did you shorten the RM 5Pro cable?
@TheCarpPilot8 ай бұрын
Two options, tried both. No favorite: 1. By cutting out a middle section and keeping the connector: Here you should practice using the cut-off middle section before soldering your result. You must make sure to carefully peel back metal film and plastic film on each end. Then remove protection and solder one wire at a time. And finally reapply the metal and plastic wrapping. I also added a shrink tube with glue outside to protect from moisture. By reapplying all protection in the same order you should keep the shielding and avoid to get a spot in the cable vulnerable for EMI from other electronics in the boat. 2. Here you need some guide. Colors and pins are described in a picture on the facebook Carp Pilot Pro user group. What you do is to desolder the socket from the main board. Then you cut the cable to the desired lenght (allow some extra length so you can correct a mistake by starting over). Remove protection for 4-5 cm of the outer cable, then remove isolation of 0.5 cm and then solder the wires into their respective holes where the socket once was placed. Here you must take great care not to break the red and black wire for the transducer as these are very thin and brittle.

Nice job👍 where i can buy bait thrower? You make alone?
@TheCarpPilot Жыл бұрын
It is an original bait thrower from DHconcepts that fits their boats like a glove. I have however custom fitted a new holder (a lot of measuring and 3D printing involved) as I wanted to reduce weight even more with a light weight brushless motor. Hence my use of a brushless WSC and the 3-wire aviation plug. The standard version is a brushed type, using a 2-wire DC plug. And to be honest this is also much easier to install.

Hi, im realy glad with youre video's! So good explayned😁 May i ask you what motor you used on the baitthrower and what esc please? Thanks in avance 😁
@CosminFrinculescu11 ай бұрын
Hi. What motor did you use for the bait thrower?
@TheCarpPilot11 ай бұрын
It is a spitz motor (brushless). The specs are visible in the table in the first video (around 1 minute in). Spitz C3242-06 (5mm shank, 1000 pwm, 50 A). For this small bait thrower the motor is totally overkill (it is small but very powerful). I tuned it down to reach max 1650 PWM. And when running it from the app (servo button) I set it to "momentary" with only 1 sec running time. The basket is empty before that second has passed.

@@TheCarpPilot Here, we have some modules for the bait thrower motors, to start slow and then rev, not full power from the start. I liked your motor because of it's dimmensions, I think I will try to find one similar. Thanks for the info.

what kind fuse i can use :?
@TheCarpPilot3 ай бұрын
@@NS-niws i use standard fuses (flat) as also used in DC systems for cars. The number of amps depends on components in the boat. As I here use brushless ESCs I just added a 30A fuse. It breaks the positive wire between batteries and boat power distribution.

My boat Is 50A esc and battery 22000mah 6s How ampere should i use ? For the fuse
@TheCarpPilot3 ай бұрын
@@NS-niws i would use a 30A. Battery size irrelevant. And your ESC is on par with one i have in another boat, also use 30A fuse there.
