I just built this for my ice road nether boat tunnels. Since you can't waterlog the scaffolding in the nether, I lowered it all by one block, so the scaffolding sits level with the ice. I also offset it all from the original path so the scaffolding will sit right next to your ice and the cactus two blocks over. You can replace one corner of the scaffolding with ice (closest corner to the direction you're coming from) so the boat will carry enough momentum to go into the cactus. I also set a block/trapdoor/slab/glass pane on the corner so it'll direct your boat into the cactus (so it sits diagonally connected to the cactus). I definitely will be building more of these in the future

Any ideas for emptying a chest boat into storage, then breaking and storing it?

The amazing thing about chest boats is they can be emptied by a hopper or hopper minecart like you can from any container. The other cool feature is when the chest boat is broken, all the items will fall out (which if contained correctly), should make collecting the items very easy.

since silentwisperer made a 20k a hour raid farm can you make a raid farm sorter v3 .with allay sorting system for non stackables and maybe shulker sorting system to hold all the items

Yes but items float in water and get stuck ontop of the scaffolding. This causes the boat to not get destroyed. In my testing, the boat never despawns but on rare occasion, it might
