Interesting to see the logging tractor start moving, perhaps to get a bit of momentum, before the boat was fully trailered. The tractor did not seem to struggle under load. *LIKED* the video pard. --LT

Thats a good way to launch and get a boat back in. Wonder what that cost to do that. Is all of that salt water hard on that heavy machinery. Good to see you back on my friend. Keep making those videos and showing us Alaska. Take care and stay safe.

G’day! I was wondering how much they charged for a launch and retrieval too. Must be fairly reasonable because they are flat out busy. I’m guessing they hose that beast off regularly to keep the saltwater from eating it up. Kinda a different video for me but certainly something you don’t see everyday. But, as I can only stand civilization a little while before I start to go nuts, I’m headed into the bush in a couple of days. Pretty awesome place I’m headed for so I should have some decent videos out next week. Cheers mate!!!

It’s $70 to launch/park. Given where these launches are (there are two on the Kenai Peninsula), it’s closer to launch off the beach than to drive another 45 minutes to launch from the cheaper state operated marina in Homer.

nice volcanoes -Mt Illiamna to the left, Mt Redoubt to the right. Both active...

Spot on! You can also see Mt Douglas, Augustine and Mt Spur from there as well. Three more active volcanos. Cheers mate!!!

That’s cool. They do that in parts of New Zealand too. Specially on the south coast of Wairarapa. I wouldn’t actually like to be the guy standing on the front of the tractor though 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

Great minds think alike! I thought this was unique to Alaska but it doesn’t surprise me to hear Kiwis came up with the same type of solution. I wouldn’t want to be the fella standing on the front of that beast either. Cheers mate!!!🇳🇿🇺🇸

Haha I thought that thing was gonna get stuck... I'm here thinking of a way to get it outta there. Another payliader and a 30 foot bell chain. Interesting vid friend. .

On the second one the hook tender was a little late to the party.
