Oh I absolutely loved the close up of you mixing the colours. I could almost smell the oil paints. I ordered the garage pallet. Funny, I saw this a while ago and it was sold out. I made up my own. Some useful tips Clair it’s interesting to hear you describe how you reduce the image you observe to a series of shapes and then work on them in detail. I enjoy your videos and your travels; how about a painting trip out here in the East of England.

Love your videos thanks. I use water soluble oils but because i unfortunately haven’t time to paint every day, i seem to be forever wasting paint that has gone tacky! I keep them in a airtight palette but after a couple of days they have started to dry out. Just wondered if you have any tips to share! Thanks. Keep filming.....lovely work.

Hi Valerie thank you, I haven’t used water soluble oils so can’t say how to prolong there life. An airtight container seems the right route. Normal oils get a skin on too. Good luck with your painting!

Clare I do love your videos and have been viewing many as I set out on my plein air adventure. You don't mention if you use any medium when painting. I have been using oil with a solvent to start and then using linseed oil as I build the painting up. However, it looks as if you just use paint directly from the tube without a medium. Am I correct? Would love to hear.

I notice you use naples yellow to lighten your blues instead of white. Is that because white is too cold?

Hi Gretchen yes you are right! Titanium white is a cool colour so I tend to use a yellow to warm up the mix if needed. Best wishes Clare
