Great video. Fishing with the kids is awesome but it’s not content for everyone. I like it. Mainly because mine is almost grown and fishing with Dad isn’t cool anymore. Enjoy these days, you only get one shot when they are little. Stay safe out there

Loved the video! Fishing isn't always... go to water.. catch fish!! So I just turned 69 but I'm still super active and still fish and will until i cant!😂! Im a mom of 5 kids so I'm really glad you let your kids go and then you cooked with them!! You're an awesome dad! I know one guy was like why do u have ur kids all over and you shouldn't have tied up to an oil rig...but you are with your kids and making memories!!! I watch other fishing videos and they show when they catch fish but not when things go wrong. And something usually always go wrong! Your lines break etc! Most the time when you're fishing with kids you're fixing there lines and you as a parent don't get to fish much! And I love that you told your son thats why you wear a lifejacket! Teaching moments all around. And that might have been a teaching moment of a parent and kid watching and you just reafirmed what they are trying to teach there kids! I'm saying this with experience. I grew up in California and went fishing with my dad all the time! Ocean fishing and stream fishing! Those are my best memories of childhood! So I say keep it up and take your kids!! If some people dont want kids on maybe have another "no kids channel" but I LOVED this!! Good dad makin great memories with your kids!! Kudo!! May God richly bless you for being so real and such a great dad!!! Also thats a really cute puppy!!! 🎣😮

It sounded like Kelton was describing two different methods. One seemed to be putting three poles in the ground, and maybe tying the top together like a Teepee and hanging a pot of water from there, over the fire.

Some boaters have no clue about their wake. I was cast netting for green backs and a large cabin cruiser came plowing close to me and filled my boat with a foot of water. Pulled anchor got on a plane to get all the water out. And it was a 21 foot AquaSport. I was pissed. So I feel your pain. There is no courtesy sometimes. All he had to do is slow down go past then. Glad you only had minor injuries and having young kids with you is even worse. And they can see that. So till next time, stay safe. Hope your new boat is good. Your friend from S/W Florida.

We use 1/0 j hooks with 3/8 ounce egg wieght about 2 feet up. Works perfect!!

Every time we use a heavy jig head, we pull the hook out. It’s like you set the hook and the weight keeps there teeth open and the hook comes straight out. Try some 3/8 oz and you will have better hook ups

Your boy has been watching some bushcraft vids. The first way was 4 logs around a fire with a grate or other flat surface sitting on them to grill/fry the fish. The second one was a fire with 3 longer sticks forming a teepee over the fire (bound with cordage) to hang a pot from to cook in. Smart young man you’ve got there. Good job raising them to be self reliant.
