Boating on the River Lot Part 5

A boat journey down the River Lot in France. 3 couples spend 7 days navigating the central section of the river starting at Douelle and going from Luzech to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Beautiful scenery and wonderful food & wine. This is Part 5 of 5 travelling from Pont Valentré to Douelle and home.

Hello Grandad.. I feel bad after watching your Fantastic 5 videos on the Lot river that I still did not get your name.. As a retired TV Cameraman I think you did a great job with shooting and editing your footage. Especially as you are a 1 man band !!!!. Really good. The Lot River looks like a great river to cruise on. Unfortunately I have no experience with boats and some of the stuff I see on KZbin with boats getting into trouble is pretty scary. My wife and I are wanting to do the Maine-Rhine Canal leaving from Strasbourg to Lagarde ( when the world opens again ). As a "Guest " on board with 18 others and 5 crew. Hi Max, glad you liked them. I’m Gordon. Thanks for the compliment from a retired pro! I’m retired too 😀. They were all filmed on a GoPro Hero 7 which I bought specially for the trip. Although I’m a regular yachtsman this was the second time we’d rented from Le Boat and they are really good, giving everyone on board training on boat handling and lock opening. As long as you’re sensible there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. The pace is so slow and calming and without tides or wind to worry about the only concern is planning your next meal stop. I’m sure you’ll love it and hope you get to do it soon. All the very best from Kent, England.
