Boating to Catalina

Thanks for sharing, as a lake boater I’ve pondered taking ours out to the ocean and a quick jump over to Catalina for the day. We don’t have the cool nav gear but we can cruise much faster which makes it a quick trip. We have 1000 hp (500x2) and use 20gph at 60mph on plane in a 35’ Nordic Flame power boat. Of course I doubt it would be that calm for most trips. Thanks again.

We used to have a 36 Baja Outlaw with twin 502 Bulldogs. The run in your boat is easy and you'll eat up the seas. We now have a Bertram 43, and it takes a quite a bit longer to cross the channel. But then again, we can sip cocktails, don't worry about time of day crossing, and use the head or crash in the salon watching TV...so there is a trade off!

The boat SeeWorthy is a 2009 Meridian 441. The boat was recently sold and continues to dock in Newport Beach, Ca.
