Hi Dan, nice to see a rib on your channel, a type of boat ive been a bit obsessed with for the last 30 years or so. However, if today i was spending a lot of money on a boat, i dont think it would be on a rib, because theyve become too expensive....for what they are. Part of the reason i first loved them was they offered seaworthy boats at reasonable costs. Now they seem to cost as much as full grp or alu hulled vessels....which i reckon can give you a lot more, like cabins, berths etc. I know theres ribs that do that too but for crazy money. The other thing is here in scotland the sun is not out enough to degrade materials much....whereas down under it is and might be enough to put folk off hypalon. Its always sunny on your vids! My rib is 20 years old on pvc tubes and they are still ok. Dont know if aussie sun wouldve cooked them by now. If i was a bit younger and had a few quid, id probably go for a Scandinavian adventure style boat...i think. Enjoy ghe channel, keep it up, cheers.

Yes you're right the sun is a completely different beast down here. Doesn't compare to Northern Hemisphere sun at all as it's SO much stronger down here with the hole in the ozone and Southern Hemisphere air being cleaner so more UV gets through and eats into everything (including your boat). RIBS still offer speed and price competition over other day boats but the adventure boat market is giving that a real alternative that in many cases is better for our conditions. Not always.. but often.

Hi Jason! Thanks for this and yes a lot of people have been asking me to do this so i think you're right, Initially i was worried about using confusing currencies because it seems my viewers think in (USD - GBP - AUD - EURO - NZD) in that order but it's probably not that big of an issue? I'll come up with a way to display the price guides and start releasing this on the channel soon. Thanks for the support and feedback, this is how i'm making the videos better by listening to you guys. m
