Lyrics:
Oh well, I love you, pretty baby
You're the only love I've ever known
Just as long as you stay with me
The whole world is my throne
Beyond here lies nothin'
Nothin' we can call our own
Bob Dylan is a rare artist that has managed to transcend genre to become a universally praised songwriter, performer and musician of the 20th- and 21st-centuries. Starting out as a chronicler of social issues in the 1960s, Dylan has had true staying power with thirty-two studio albums released in 53 years â the most recent of which is 2015's critically acclaimed Shadows in the Night.

I think the video represents how people(not just women) tend to make the same mistakes over and over again. Like someone who keeps falling in love with people that treat them badly. And when they have the chance to break the cycle...they dont and instead go back to what's familiar no matter how bad it is. Happens all the time.

Great fucking videoclip. One of the best I've ever saw (maybe that's why it's so controversial and hasn't achieved a lot of views). Some people understand the point of the movie is to normalize violence between couples, so they hate the idea that the girl came back to kiss the men by the end of the video. I mean, if she just kept driving and the men got smaller and smaller on the rear view we would still have a very nice videoclip, but a little bit too obvious. The genius of this is that she actually comes back to kiss the guy, that's where the poetry lies, in the fact that the story told here represents the reality of human relations and not the obvious "happy end to a sad story" we would expect. How often do we go back to that which is hurting us? How many people are stuck in toxic relationships? That's what this video is talking about. It's a brilliant piece of work, of style and cinematography. This 3:48 minutes video has managed to butthurt a lot of oblivious, blind people to the reality of the relations we have in our everyday life. They were baited into accepting the women in this video as the hero that fights back against tyranny (and she does that) but they weren't expecting for her to be a device of her own addiction to toxicity. Nobody was expecting to come back. She's ultimately someone just like you and me, a real person, that can and most likely will fall in love with that which is hurting us.

They are my top 2 Singer/Songwriters, both Dylan and Tom Waits.....There are others I have right up there also, like Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, etc.........and most of all friends or coworkers that I've talked to about my tops in Singer/Songwriters, mentioned here, along with others, they say suck....that they can't sing for shit, their voices suck, or they talk instead of singing, etc....but I happen to like their voices for so many years, and even with Bands, one of my tops, The Who.....I really like Pete Townshend's singing, solo albums, etc....and I would get the same kind of responses.....that Pete can't sing....he talks, etc.....I still would always rather hear the Original Songs, by these Original Artists, over any Cover Versions......even by so called Top Vocalists in the World, or in Rock, etc...
