What a great and interesting piece, beautiful guitar! Sebastian lost a little bit of history when he forgot that Bob did perform twice in between tour 66 and Rock of Ages - he performed with the Band at the Woody Guthrie Memorial concert and at the Isle of Wight.

I myself had seen this guitar hanging on the wall in the Band’s Shangri-La facility during the Last Waltz, and it is featured in the DVD packaging from 2001, but I never knew that it had such deep history dating back to Bob Dylan’s first tour with the Band.

I found this video to be very educational as far as my own Telecaster is concerned. It led me to dig a little deeper into its history. Seems I own a '65 blonde with a maple neck and cap. The fret board and cap seem to be one solid piece and transition logo. No skunk stripes anywhere. Who knew? Thank you for sharing.

Carl Shelley He's actually from Toronto and spent summers on the 6 Nations reserve outside of Brantford where his mom is from (she's Mohawk), Rick Danko is from a tiny village called Blayney just outside of Simcoe, Richard Manuel is from Stratford, and Garth Hudson was born in Windsor and grew up in London. Good ol small town Ontario boys made it bigtime.
