First heard Bob Dylan from tapes played by American Peace Corp personal who were living in the same house as me in Kuala Lumpur in 1968. Bob inspired many of us studying in University of Malaya. We were really fired up during the Vietnam war. Since then Bob has always remained one of my top singers. Love you Bob and may you live forever.

From 14 to 74 and counting, Bob Dylan has been at my side and at my back. He has been the sound track of my life, and that of many others. My friends and I spoke "Dylanese" to each other - using his songs as shorthand when we reached out. Thank you so much for this.

I was once in a Camden Town Irish pub with a friend. About 1975. A guy came up to us: "Are you Luke Kelly?" (My memory has him in a cowboy hat, speaking with a drawl...) And my friend said yes. "Bobbie says hi to you!" and your man walked back to his friends. Luke was SO thrilled. They'd been together as almost kids, unknowns on the folk circuit in the States. And Dylan the icon remembered .. taking the trouble to send greetings. Icon to icon.

Glad I stumbled upon this. On November 8, 1964 I didn't have the $2 needed to see Bob live at the University of Maine but I made up for it eleven years later at the world-famous Bangor Auditorium as he, Joanie and Scarlet rocked the old house with their Rolling Thunder review. My Back Pages

From Calgary Alberta, Canada. Because of Bob D (and Leonard C) I quit Law school to be a poet/clown/actor/producer. The first number they played the Girl from the North Country sent a wave of emotion through me and I have tears streaming down my face. I really had forgotten how much Bob has helped me become an artist. Happy B Day.

Bob was always playing in the house I grew up in, outside Pittsburgh. I new every lyric to every song but did not no the names of the songs. As the years crept by I learned the names. The 1st time I saw BD live was all summer long in 1987 when he graced the stage with one of his greatest heroes and friend, Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Wow, what a summer man. Since the summer of 87 I made sure I got to see BD at least a few 10 shows a year. I'm still seeing Bob yearly, now with my three boys that absolutely love this troubadours stage presence with his band that sharpens the guitar work year after year for Bob. I sense the affection of Bob's loyalty to travel and play a different show every night. That's the magic of Dylan, just like Jerry G and the boy's. If you have never have seen BD, do your heart and ears a favor and buy a ticket and take the ride for an evening before it's gone. Your heart and ears and soul will thank you. Very nice show this was in Ireland. Thank you folks, much love and respect to all whom learn and play BD. It's the cosmic dance and a sure ticket to enter the pearly gates. ❤🎸

Bob Dylan is the essence of poetry and song, which is beautifully illustrated in the fantastic renditions of "Dignity", "It's Alright Ma", and "Forever Young". On a personal level, "Oh Sister", followed by "One More Cup Of Coffee", are some of Dylan's best, yet rarely sung or covered by other artists. When I was a teenager in 1977 in the small town of BelKsiri, Morocco. My dad had an iconic 70's Sharp Boombox, which I used to sneak out of the house in the evening/night and haul to my favorite music listening spot, on the outer side of the wall of Lycee Moulay Rachid highschool (facing the woods leading to river Sebou). I would sit there for hours listening in the dark to Hurricane, or Sara, barely making out some lyrics here and there -English is not my native language-, trying to decipher what Dylan wanted to say through that intense, sincere voice, and sob to the painful words like "Couldn't help but make me feel ashamed to live in a land where justice is a game" or "Now the beach is deserted except for some kelp, and a piece of an old ship that lies on the shore" Thank you Mr. Dylan for the hundreds of thousands of hours you occupied my ears, mind, heart, and soul. A thousand years from now, Bob Dylan's canon of work will stay forever young and pertinent.

Oops my mistake, after all these years I've only just got it: 'I'm younger than that now.' It finally makes sense because I was thinking it should have been 'I'm younger then than now; it's all a bit cracked really isn't it? Never mind. I always get confused over the song title: I wish I'd known what I know now when I was younger.' I was at the Isle of Wight festival in '69 when Bob was headlining, we could hardly hear him stuck at the back of this huge crowd of long hairs in a big field. Then we had to make our way back to the mainland in the dark to start with. Those were the days; I think Bob left in a helicopter, we could hear it overhead as well as him laughing.

Hi all, I missed this at the time & only came across it this morning. I am blown out by these artists, none of whom I've come across before. I wonder if someone out there could post all of their names so that I can look for more of their work. I'd really appreciate it. This event was a great tribute to Dylan, for me, the greatest singer//songwriter/poet of my time. I'm 74 now and his work has enriched my life more than anything else I know. Thanks so much for posting this.

@@bid84 Alan, Thank you so much for listing those artists for me. I couldn't make them out from the video and live in Australia, which is perhaps why I haven't come across them before. I was particularly taken by the beauty and sensitivity of those female voices. I'll certainly look up all of these and thanks again. Take care. Be safe. ☮

@@nonsibicunctis No problem Roger, I hope you have fun discovering new music, Paul Brady and Lisa Hannigan are probably the most well known out of the aforementioned. Dylan was an admirer of Brady. Especially his song Arthur Mc bride.
