Bob Grant was so ahead of his time. A fantastic broadcaster who knew how to entertain an audience and was one of the most influential and imitated talk show hosts of all time.

There was a time when talk radio was less restrictive. Today management puts limitations of their hosts despite their ratings. Free speech and the right to confront a fool is diminishing before our eyes. Bob’s style is sorely missed.

For those who appreciate his wit and wisdom is why I decided to post these show portions. The callers were equally entertaining.

I swear to God, today Bob Grant wouldn't just be off the air, he'd probably have charges filed against him, have the case heard in front of a liberal judge in New York, and be convicted.

My my, how things have changed. It used to be a few of the spineless sponsors fearing they'd lose business. These days it's the corporate greed of the station owners and management loosing a valuable slot in the over flowing endless infomercial style radio they destroyed. It's no longer a true talk format. A 3 hour show is reduced to maybe 1.5 hours of content. The listeners and callers are no longer valued. They don't want serious dialogue. The hosts are treated worse. Hardly any time to do their show as it should be done. Bumpers, contests, jingles, promos, some crap product being endorsed by hosts and plenty of filler. It's sad for anyone who once enjoyed the golden age of talk radio.

No link that I know of. I may have a cassette of something Bob or WABC may have broadcasted. If and when I locate it, I'll make a point to post it. There are so many I'm sorting through. Hope you enjoy the collection on my You Tube Channel.
