His daughter only got a few roles (in which she was terrible) due to his influence. But Nelson has a strong history of buying dying companies, and bringing them back to profitability. Disney has fallen to crap in recent years, and is burning money at a record rate. He might be what’s needed to restore Disney to it’s former glory.

Peltz definitely has a history of fixing companies DESPITE the CEOs pushing back. If giving the untalented daughter a show is part of what it takes to "fix Disney" then lights, camera, action. As time goes on and I do more research, it seems Peltz might be the answer. We're here in October and stock is below $80. I don't need to be an economist to say THAT'S BAD. Right now we have merchandise languishing on the shelves of discount retailers, movies making abysmal financial returns, and the parks raising prices to an unattainable amount of money per day. I say give the new guy a try because what's happening now is clearly not working.
