I’m excited and I believe three of his kids including ziggy are producers on the film. Kingsley said Ziggy was there every day on set so that gives me hope that they will keep this close to the truth cause Bob did so much and spoke so much about injustice

I’m excited for this film. I agree I don’t want the official trailer to show the whole movie. I want to see the movie and get all my nuggets from that. This teaser has such a great vibe and I’m excited to see how it all unfolds

I would not be surprised if we did not get any new information that has not already been told because Bob's story has been done many times. I think this is Hollywood's version of telling his story for many who probably have not dug into the existing documentaries that are out. I am looking forward to this one though because Bob is in my top 5 of all time fav artist. And I have seen and own most if not all of the docs done on him. I feel good about this trailer going in

If you curious about the actor who playing Bob Marley his name is Kingsley Ben-Adir who is having his year in Blockbuster films and TV series. This amazing actor was in a lot of good projects like portraying Malcolm X in Regina King's award-winning movie One Night in Miami, Secret Invasion as Gravik and the upcoming Barbie.

💯Paramount knows what they have with this movie and we cannot wait. Kingsley took on our late great KING ROBERT NESTA MAELEY and the little we have seen in the 2 mins of this teaser of what will be a block buster biopic, is so damn compelling that it brought chills. Singing and jumping on stage shaking his locks....R.I.P KING...YOU have been gone for 42 years and still missed and loved.

I grew up listening to a lot of reggae music, alongside Bob Marley and the Wailers. I really hope they do this biopic right. I do have a few critiques as far as the trailer goes. On one hand, (in some shots) the actor, he looks like him, but in others idk... He's a bit on the taller side. Also, his voice is a bit deep.

Hopefully this film has a soundscape that goes far deeper into Marley's music (and politics/religion) than that 1984 _'Legends'_ compilation: *_"Despite its generally positive reception, Legend has been criticized for being a deliberately inoffensive selection of Marley's less political music, shorn of any radicalism that might damage sales. In 2014 in the Phoenix New Times, David Accomazzo wrote "Dave Robinson, who constructed the tracklist for Legend, [said that] the tracklist for Legend deliberately was designed to appeal to white audiences. Island Records had viewed Marley as a political revolutionary, and Robinson saw this perspective as damaging to Marley's bottom line. So he constructed a greatest-hits album that showed just one face of the Marley prism, the side he deemed most sellable to the suburbs. [...] If you're looking for mass-market appeal to secular-progressive America, you don't include songs that invoke collective guilt over the slave trade, nor do you address the inconvenient truth that the bucolic Jamaican lifestyle of reggae, sandy beaches, and marijuana embraced by millions of college freshmen, exists only because of the brutal slave trade. Another thing is, why did he punch someone in the face right after he said peace being the message? Btw im still gonna watch the fuck out of this movie on opening day. I'm a huge marley fan.
