I learned today that Bob was inspired by the words of Jamaican activist Marcus Garvey: "“We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind."

Bob Marley is more than just an artist, this song literally liberated Zimbabwe from British colonial rule. The fighters drove inspiration from Bob Marley music, that's powerful. His spirit was always African. Rest in Power my teacher and prophet.

Bob you were a true prophet yourself. Your songs are all written with the things that is happening in the world today. I wish you were still alive to give prophecy. But your time was cut short and God knows best. As I woke this morning your lines in this song comes to me, it's all I ever had is redemption song and emancipate yourself from mental slavery. This is what's destroying so many people these days. And it's their minds that they can't rise above the water and keep their heads up. People's minds are a ruination to themselves. Whenever I think negatively I get this awkward feeling that make me feel very sad and that's what mental slavery does to our minds. From there you will go into depression and end up crazy. Free your mind from all negative thoughts and you will feel better and better every day. I'll not hold myself in captivity with mental slavery.

In 8th of May 2022, 2:59 AM. I am listening to this song and I feel all the energy of this song oh it's so overwhelming and can feel that the song is deep from his heart to his people ( not only Africans) but to any other people who has felt the grip of a white man. What a great philosopher he poured his wisdom into the lyrics of his songs since he knew that we wouldn't have read it had he put it in a book. God bless your soul Marley. Live on, our prophet.

St Ann man, was convinced by his spiritual conviction, took him across the world delivered his version of the gospel all around the world. Got sick passed in 1981, now is IMMORTALIZED forever wanna know why? He wasn't even in his prime he's similar to pharoah Taharqa of ancient Kush both men had similar connections helping the Hebrew God in His quest to spread a righteous message across the world. So Bob Marley is immortal thru MUSIC and TAHARQA the DIVINE is IMMORTAL thru the pages of the Hebrew Bible.
