Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” Official Video
The Redemption Song video was created by French artists Octave Marsal & Theo De Gueltzl. Marsal & De Gueltzl’s breathtaking animation, featuring 2747 original drawings, uses powerful symbols to amplify the magnitude of the song’s timeless lyrics and importance in today’s world. The video highlights Bob’s contribution to the empowerment of black civilization, as well as his manifestation of hope and recovery for all mankind. Inspired by Bob’s homeland of Jamaica, as well as insights received from his family, the artistic approach was to illustrate the imaginary world of Bob Marley in a way that highly stimulates self-reflection.

When you can feel emotion with every word and every chord. When a song literally engulfs your soul, you know it is beyond simply a song, it is much, much more. Redemption Song is truly Bobs magnum opus. It is the culmination of his life's work and who he was as a human being. Always striving to move further in his journey, but never forgetting where he came from. Humble yet powerful. Truly a one of a kind artist, soul and Legend. R.I.P Bob, the world misses you. The Universe is better with you.

James, I am so sorry for your loss. Dankest just said he did the same for his brother, Mike, who died. I just lost my brother, Mike, one month ago in a tragic accident. Pain and grief are such a shared emotion. I was standing on our deck singing Redemption Song when I started to cry but I kept singing with tears streaming down my face. It was then that I remembered my brother loved Bob Marley as I have for over 40 years. The line, "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery no one else can free your mind", is very significant for me. Slowly we will all free ourselves from the slavery of grief. May God bless you both.

Dear Tuff Gong, I am a huge Bob Marley fan. I love to collect Marley memorabilia. Vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, and more. Every time I listen to “Live!” and “Babylon By Bus”, I always get goosebumps. Marley’s music hits me in a different way. I’m a teenager, so I don’t listen because of the relaxation or the trend. I listen because of the music. One good thing about music is when it hits you you feel no pain. I love Marley’s concerts because of the way he interacts with the crowd. It’s amazing. I would love for you guys to release more concert footage in HD, especially from the Manhattan concert in 1975. I would also love for you guys to release the full complete audio from the pavilion concert in 1978 (Some audio from the performance shown in Babylon By Bus). It would mean a lot to me and all the Marley fans around the world. Would love to hear back from you guys! Thank you! Sincerely, A 14 year old Bob Marley fan.

my interpretation is it was meant sarcastically. fulfill the book in this context is meant to make fun of the concept of self-fulfilling prophecies. the "somebody already said it's gonna happen so may as well make it happen" sort of mindset. @@MrSousou9381 we have had lots of historical accounts of 'prophet' type people, like the Muhammed's or gautama buddha's, the zhaung zhou's, or the jesus christ types. People who have seen 'the way' things are and should be and are aware of the 'laws' of the world. People like this have been persecuted throughout history or seen as radical anti-government hippies, because their stances are inately anti-state and anti-prison and anti-profit. They are usually killed, arrested, or matrydomed in some aspect in front of their followers. If they are not killed or harmed, their ideologies and messages are co-opted by authority figures such as the example of the Roman emperor (whatever his name was) instituting Christianity as the state religion despite heavy persecution in the last centuries prior, or corporate/capitalists taking something like Buddhism and treating it as a method to make you less stressed out about your awful treatment at the hands of corporations and state-sanctioned officials and just 'accept' what's happening to you and to 'just breathe'. When Bob Marley is talking about 'them' killing our prophets, he's saying that eventually, we have to fulfill the prophecy ourselves and save ourselves and not just 'accbept' them murdering our neighbors, our prophets, our messengers, our bodhisattva's, our buddha's, our Christs.
