there was a time when I was hurting so bad, no where to turn, and i had to run, i was so low, i found myself in a new land with new people, and i was scared. and then came this music. somehow it made it all seem like it would be ok. I began believing in God in my teens, because Bob said, I know Jah would never let us down. and then, Bob spoke to me again, at the moment i needed it most. Bob saved me man

Bob Marley is the legend whose gift we may never receive again. I pray that one day, the scholars of the world may see that his work is completely worthy of the Nobel Peace Price....promotion of peace, love and equality for all races. His rhythm and lyrics never get old or boring. We lost him way too early, and sadly, in the prime of his message. He was only 36 years old but had already made an impact that continues to expand in his late. His legacy have roots in every culture across the globe. THANK YOU FOR GIVING US SOMETHING FOR UPLIFTING IN EVERY SITUATION. RIP

He was one of a few who really bonded with what he sang. You could tell it came from the depths of his soul. Like someone said in a comment on the song There She Goes. "This man really felt heartache and pain." And it is true. Read about him and you'll learn all he had to go through. Had a girl's brother broke up a relationship with him as he didn't want the bloodline to be tainted. Cruelly mo led for being half white and living in a poor part of town. That is why it baffles me when Tosh said Marley was successful because he was mixed race!

this session is recorded with the mic of the video camera. And there's only one reason why this sounds so good, they just know how to play together and they play good. Few musicians these days can reach such musicial harmony in such a pure way.

True. Both Bob's soulful voice and approach to lyrics, as well as the style and harmony of the band, are what makes for a unique sound that other musical groups just don't seem to have.
@willdatsun Жыл бұрын
I don't think this is the case , else there would be other noise getting in, from cameraman, from tape transport, and the camera back then would be poor audio quality VHS or possibly U-Matic. Also sound doesnt change when the camera moves . You can see the footage doesn't line up with what you can hear sometimes indicating the audio is from different takes to the footage.

Cool runnin’s, I-ah. Me , know say, something, about ,why to cherish this video. I trod w/ my singer, to see the principal board of Tuff Gong, in January of 1980, and while Bob was in Africa, a de time, we completed the agreement with his label to make an album, in Tuff Gong ??Right? Important to know.. 💥Carlton, de hardest drummer, would be killed by his wife’s jealous lover, within a year, and after that year, we made that album. Bob did live thru May or so 1981. Them cyan’ kill him, cause he is eternal. A We know dat!🇲🇱

This is absolutely EPIC!!!! I like all these song versions way better than the studio engineered arrangements. Its all so raw and incredible! This was the lightning being caught up the bottle!!!! The whole band is so focused and tight!!! I don't think I know of a single musician who is more passionate than Bob and I enjoy listening to a very wide range of musical genres. Nesta surpasses ALL!!!! Bless Up!!!
