This is a simple but essentially very important testimonial from a wonderful soul. For those who obviously missed it! This shows how the Guru Yogananda guided Bob with great skill to open up to his own light and truth. The changes he describes are the awakening from the relative unreal world to REALITY. It happens in stages -the fullness of which Yogananda describes in his orange covered Autobiography of a Yogi.

the problem is - even though you experience only a small fraction the sensory world in which you live and work, that world is not the REAL world it is the world of relativity - the unreal world. When Paramahansa Yogananda says there is a God - a REALITY, it is from direct experiences, when you say there is no God it is intellectual guesswork. The point is - you don't care just yet. The main thing that the Guru does for the devotee is show him how to find his own truth and freedom.

An 'open mind', that is exactly the opposite of belief where acceptance of unfounded assumptions + ideas r encouraged. The yogis make it up + U R expected to accept it + believe it. If u don't it is your fault. Doubt is seen as a flaw. U r encouraged to doubt science yea that is of the material world and delusion but the imaginings of the yogis is true they know more than the smartest people who have ever lived because u must distrust the mind even which can be fooled, nevermind the deluded guru
