Bob Ross was a calming force in my life. I used to watch him on my tv upstairs in my room when I was a little kid, just to get away from my abusive mother. Thank goodness PBS was the one channel I could get on my rabbit ears… UHF reception sucked lol. At any rate, he would literally soothe my soul and I would get a small reprieve from the horrible life I was living. Thanks for putting this up. I hope it helps someone else out there.

In the early 90's my girlfriend and I would watch this on PBS every Saturday afternoon. We would get all tingly, and almost fall asleep. We didn't know what ASMR was back then, but were lucky enough to be affected by it.

Bob Ross knife only is top tier ASMR. Its on my bedtime playlist at least 4 times a week. I watched Bob on PBS when I was growing up in the 8Os/90s and he is more prevalent today to me. I appreciate you for this video. My top 5 videos in my playlist.

The black screen is because when I put the video on, it gets copyright claims. Those copyright claims then give the rights holders the ability to place ads on the videos. Alot of my viewers listen to Bob Ross while they sleep, and ads ruin the experience. The videos I upload are for people who like to listen to Bob Ross while sleeping. The black screen does 2 things, 1) keep the screen dark (usually on a cell phone next to the bed) and 2) Parent company for Bob Ross likes to throw Copyright Strikes at videos that show the paintings.

Yes, that was the point of the video. People use it for sleeping to, and video causes copyright claims and then ads appear, it's just a nightmare to deal with, so I run black screen to reduce ads as much as possible, in alot of cases none, and a black screen to remove copyright.
