Back when this show was in its first run, at one point I was heavily pregnant (I ended up 2 weeks late), the size of Jupiter and it was a miserably hot August. We had only one AC and I would crap out on the sofa in the living room and listen to Mr. Bob Ross and just zone out blissfully. I've never picked up a paint brush in my adult life but now that I've found him on KZbin, I listen to him from time to time to fall asleep and ponder how it has happened that my little girl who I truly believed was never going to actually be born, is now 34 with a little girl of her own. I try not to hold it against her that she delivered 2 weeks early. That's my Bob Ross story; we all have one.

But when I was having a horrible day, constant panic attacks and so exhausted I could cry, one of my clients had Bob Ross playing for her dog. Using his techniques it wouldn't take a more experienced painter long at all to do a painting like this - there are videos on KZbin of professional artists painting as they follow a Bob Ross video, who do end up with a finished or nearly finished painting, too! There's also literally no obvious or even subtle breaks in the 'action' so I honestly doubt they skipped anything.

I have terrible social anxiety. School is miserable for me because I don’t feel like I belong and don’t talk to anyone. Even when I want to I talk myself out of it. No matter how anxious I am on nights that I can’t sleep, I watch bob Ross and every stress and worry in my life just goes away for 30 minutes. Even longer. He makes me see the world in a different light. A good light. Thank you bob Ross.

Ry Boflaven I am sorry to hear of your troubles. The good news is it does get better. Hang in there. Take care of yourself by finding things you like to do! I am sick and injured so I know what it feels like to feel trapped. I loved Bob Ross and watched him when I would be down for a couple of weeks because of my disease, now it’s everyday 24/7 but I keep hoping it will get better. Just know that people you don’t even know want you to make it. I have major trouble sleeping too because of the pain my body has to fight. I deal with idiots and people that are not trained in biochemistry or pharmacology telling me medication that works and gets me out of bed is dangerous. I used to have a great oncologist but he died, he gave me my life back. Main thing is take care of yourself physically and mentally. Once you get out of school, the cliques and stuff won’t be there to aggravate you. Get educated though and go to college if you can. I used to swim and that relaxed me. All the stress melted away. I watched Bob to help calm me. He used to put me to sleep, almost like hypnotism. Wish he was still here but we have his videos. ☮️💕
