This is a compilation video of Bob Ross using his palette knife to construct cabins and barns.
Video clips are all courtesy of the Bob Ross KZbin channel, featuring episodes from his acclaimed PBS show, The Joy of Painting.
Robert Norman Ross (October 29, 1942 - July 4, 1995) was an American painter, art instructor and television host. He was the creator and host of The Joy of Painting, an instructional television program that aired from 1983 to 1994 on PBS in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. Ross subsequently became widely known via his posthumous internet presence.

He was ASMR before it was named. I remember him on PBS after school, I'd get about half way thru his show and be passed out on the couch with drool running out until mom would ask " You alright" and wake me up. And I'd say yeah I'm fine just Mr. Whispers here knocks me out every time. She thought it was funny.

@@Melvorgazh ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. However there are various types of ASMR. One of which is ASMR Sleep. And ASMR sleep KZbin videos contain stuff. Like Rain on a tin roof, Rain and thunder recorded in a tent. People whispering etc etc. It knocks insomnia in the head usually.

This man was an amazing painter. His nature scenes were top notch. I was always amazed at the realism his scenes portrayed. It was like you were looking at a color photograph of the place he was painting. It is neat how he can paint his cabins with a knife and the realism he'd add to em. But to me, his cabins kinda spoiled that absolute masterpiece of a nature scene in some cases.

Used to watch Bob a lot back in the day, loved his style. It was ASMR before it was a thing. I would just chill out while watching as he talked and painted me right into a world untouched by man. And sometimes, at that moment when all the strokes and layers of paint had finally come together, into something I personally was totally satisfied with, BAM! He slices right through a third to a half of that peaceful, colorful mountain meadow with a glob of dark brown paint to outline... the presence of man! No matter how much I prepared myself for it, it always jolted me out of my slumber. But by the end of the episodes, Bob always manages to harmonize man's presence within nature, i.e., a simple rustic structure with NO, actual people around.

From what I heard about the documentary, his family essentially sold over the rights of his trademark to some greedy manager and now she owns all Bob Ross merchandise. All royalties go to her and his son doesn’t see a dime. I think he opened a lawsuit because this lady had his name signed over by some relative who wasn’t even immediate. Something along the lines of that. So now, every time anyone purchases his art or anything Bob Ross brand, it’s literally feeding this lady and no one from his next of kin benefits off of it. The cancer part I heard about as well. Along with the divorces. Very sad. Perhaps it was one of the ex wives who got the rights to his enterprise . Either way, it just shows how cruel the world can really be.

Found Bob back in 1978....black and white TV set my father had ..only got 3 channels. I was 8. Bob was the best of the worst. Life gives us these pearls occasionally. Having a stressful day.....pick a Bob episode. GONE.

Is Bob Ross a good artist? I've never seen one of his paintings. I fall asleep as soon as his soft voice starts naming the colors he's going to use

Shredded asmr is an appropriate name for this. 6,000,000 ads pretty much shreds the asmr.

You'd think it took someone hours to color and texture all these individual boards in the cabin, and Bob's over here just, "And we bounce bloop-bloop-bloop-bloop-bloop."
