Song reminds me of my life with my fiance. She is the most wonderful and patient woman I've ever known. To face our problems and have the courage to tread forward knowing that failure is at our faces. Her encouragement and support will outlast the hardships we currently face and find that little light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm lucky enough to live in the Austin area. I've seen Bob 4 times in the last year. It seems like each show is more fun than the last. He was out of hand at Antone's on July 15th! Really went off the deep end, even for a Bob show. Loved it!! This is a great song by any standard.

This song was popular when my daughter was getting sober. I don't know why I felt the need to share that. Just did. That was 8 1/2 years, a college degree, wedding, house purchase, and becoming a mom ago.

I found Bob Schneider right after I got sober. That was 12 years ago. I always think about that when I listen to him. Something about his music made that time more bearable.
@blammy5178 жыл бұрын
Hm, didn't save my reply before. Trying again. I got introduced to Bob Schneider's music like a month after I got sober. That was 12 years ago. I sort of associate his tunes with getting sober. Something about this music and the lyrics made it easier.

Schneider was EXCELLENT at Saxon Pub. He sang after a guy named Wesley and they both were good. I went by that record store at 6th and Lamar and got one of the CDs already. Mr. Schneider sang on the radio at the same time. The breaks between when he sung on the radio were more entertaining than the other songs. It was truly a treat.

Dear Bob, you've enlighten me to a different world. Thank you for being you and something I could follow without being judge. Another musician introduced me to you. You probably know him. Sigh .. makes me wonder if something else was suppose to transpire. You civilians are so raw. Makes a prior military child, ex wife suffer in a civilian athosporshere. But, forced to understand both worlds. Very sad for the civilians. I hope to meet you someday. Xxox stay safe with this delta covid, my man. 💋

"You're the color of a sideways look from an undercover cop in a comic book"... "You're the color of the colored part of The Wizard of Oz movie" It's lyrics like this, that are simultaneously playful and vividly descriptive, that set Bob Schneider apart as a lyricist. To make a broader point: God bless musicians who don't take themselves too seriously. I'm talking to you Emo artists.

@Stooty68 This tune has HIT, HIT, HIT written all over it. If anyone believes that the best songs are played on the radio, they are sadly mistaken. I think it has exposed more people to Bob (I'm including myself in this too) and that's an awesome thing. I would have listened to the guy YEARS ago had I even heard one song from him but I'm just thankful I've finally found him and his music.
