Too big of a name. He was making millions with Konvict and his music releases. So they threaten the artists like T Pain and Colby O'Donis that were building the brand really well at the time. Forcing them to shut down everything and force akon to put songs only with small labels like Spinnin' or the big corporations with Atlantic which currently have Akons next album and are holding back the album for personal reasons. Very dirty industry. If you noticed akon abruptly stopped music and Kovict to focus on helping 500 million people in Africa. Very shady and dirty industry.
