Bob Steele was so athletic and so graceful on the horse. It is a pleasure to watch his great westerns. I watch so many of his westerns because the plots are interesting, there are no curse words, and the good guy always wins!

all true but he was not a good actor. per se, but at least he could ride. love all these black and white old cowboys stress free entertainment

@@Peter-yk8tw While he was not a good actor, that does not mean that he was a bad actor. Good and bad are represented by a dividing line, and keep in mind that someone may be just barely good, or, as the title of a very old Alvin and The Chipmunks song states, 'Almost Good.' There are plenty of times when Bob Steele delivers the goods that his character calls for, and he does it with a style that easily (so it seems to us viewers) sets him apart from others. He is not a 'great' actor, but if he had been, then these westerns would have been bloated by how great he was. Pardon my blah...

@@RRW1982 wasnt his dad a director, some family member was director of his films in early days.

@@Peter-yk8tw Yes, Bradbury was the family name. His dad directed others besides Bob Steele, and his credits often were multiple listeng, like this: ____________________________________ Director - Robert N. Bradbury Writer - Robert N. Bradbury _____________________________________ When he was involved with the writing and the directing, then there was a good chance for a very good film.

Bob was one of my favorite cowboy heroes, lot people don't know that he made more westerns than John Wayne! Love his fights, specialy with Charles King, they use to get the drunk fight for real.

Yes, that's what I read, he and Charlie used to drink lunch and their fights were last on the day's schedule. I just love Charlie King. It's a damned shame he didn't do more comedy and stop drinking sooner.

Great to see the great Bob Steele, Helen Foster and legendary villain Charles King, the man probably killed more times than anyone in films.

Price of admission for a "ladies opera ticket" = $2.00 in the 1890s.....$60.00 in today's economy....go figure. Bob Steele is the best!

Bob Steele could box (really boxing not like in the westerns) , fence as with a foil, and the only cowboy I’ve ever seen hop on a horse standing parallel to his horse and actually hop (jump) on and land in the saddle. 😊😊 …and he always got the pretty girl in the end and gave her a hug and big kiss. ❤ Now that’s the way I like it. 😊

Heck, watch John Wayne in B westerns. They even had him singing! Of course it wasn’t his voice. Love these old B westerns.

Of all the Bob Steele movies I have seen, I 've yet to see one movie that I saw back in the 50s when I was a kid. In that movie, Bob is fighting with a bad guy and is about to kill him when there is a flashback scene when Bob remembers the bad guy saving his life as they were fighting in WW1. That's the only part of the movie that I remember and for some reason it stayed with me all these years.

The longer King was in the business, the fatter he got. Still my favorite bad guy. Almost every cowboy star got to kick his ass. I read in real life he was a hell of a nice guy.

Bob Steele (had a twin brother) was probably the worse cowboy actor (so wooden) but he endured. like 250 films including supporting roles in John Wayne movies, like Rio Lobo y Rio Bravo, longest day , Wayne was in like 75 or so.King was alcoholic, died early of liver disease if I recall right. Fuzzy was in like nearly 400 films. those that started in silent films use to day a couple a week. Some of these cowboy films in 30´s were made for $8000 total, Love all these old black and white cowboy films, so relazing, no stress in B / W

00:04:43 Seriously, that is fun. Point the horse over the hill side, let him have his head, let him go and enjoy the ride. This is an excellent film. Looks like it was menat for the matinee crowd and adults could enjoy it also.

At 39:45, a clock shows a time of two minutes before three o'clock. At 51:45 Bob Steele's character arrives in time for the three o'clock shift of his new job! That was a silly story error.
