A small edit of a FPV drone following me closely while going for some downwind runs in Torbole, Italy (Lake Garda). Max speed is around 57 km/h.
The wind was between 15 to 20 knots.

What a footage! credits to the drone pilot!! What is the procedure (if any) to obtain the permits to fly so close to the sailing area?

Drone pilot is insane! No procedure: just launch and send it ;) However you do need to be quite skilled because there is a big chance you will hit someone with the drone on this location when you're not able to fly the drone well (it's super busy).

very nice shots...well done...here would be nice if You advise the size of sail & front wing/back wing used 'cos always helps amateurs with choosing the right gear for the current weather conditions

many tkx well, is a big gear for 15-20knt but I'm amateur & would have gone for 550/200/100 (phantom) or 460/39cm/100 (Boss) with 7,0 Severn sail ;-)

It was quite powered up ;) I went out with 15 knots and then the wind picked up with gusts reaching 20, one size smaller would've been better!

Oramai ...da quanti anni..che i campioni ...utilizzano il foil...con una normalità...come usassero...una fin ..normale...da amatore..utilizzando solo Fomula( foil box)...restiamo ancorati..alla nostra fin ..dai 68 cm ai 72cm...si naviga pure sulla pinna e la board in velocità si solleva dall acqua 15/ 20 cm...troppo pigro dover imparare foil...cadute ricadute..decisamente pericoloso..uscendo da soli in mare calabro golfo di Lamezia Terme..E poi caschetto mute lunghe impact west..in costumino estivo..non nel freddo lago Garda...gelido anche in estate..parola del ..Sarca..😝🤑
