@roymoore31563 жыл бұрын
@@mzp57 Who knew then that it was to be the Golden Era of rock & roll...back then shows most often had two bands. The opening band was an up and coming band that record companies were trying to promote...so we would buy more albums. The pre-bands often turned out to be stars themselves, at the beginning of their career. Remember, no band instantly became a headline act before they paid dues as an opening band. My 1st show is a perfect example. Rare Earth were the headliners, and the pre-band was one we’d never heard of. When the lights dimmed in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and in the darkness the announcer said, in a deep baritone voice, “...ladies and gentlemen would you welcome from the great state of Texas........ Z.Z. TOP....” That was number one. Open seating with a floor that had no seats. It was standing room style and you could get right up to the edge of the stage and very often there were things shared between the fans and the band. Someone would pass a doobie to someone in the band and it was passed around on stage. Bottles of JD made the rounds liberally. Weren’t too many jerks but there were a few who coulda ruined the entire vibe. When I think back, it was a Golden time for me as well. 1969-1986 Even 30 months overseas didn’t extinguish my efforts.

Although Frushon favors Bertinelli, it's obvious that she wasn't an actress. It's too bad that the director didn't give her more guidance.
@MrRockabilly703 жыл бұрын
@@cynthiad3023 No she was no actress. I read somewhere and I can't remember exactly where it was that it was by pure chance that she got the gig on this clip. She happened to be dating one of the sound engineers from the record company that Bob was recording for at the time and that's how she got the part. She had done a small amount of modelling work to this point. It's a shame her career didn't kick on after her appearance on this clip as I think she was a very pretty woman and could've done well with the right guidance as you say and opportunities.

Boy, does song bring me back!!! It's one of those songs I used to play over and over on the jukebox! If someone said to me, would you like to be able to re-visit ONE day in your past, I'd say, yes, let's go back to '77, and let me see myself put a coin in the slot and "groove" to "Ebony Eyes". (That would be after I'd seen "Star Wars" for the 18th time!)
