Great actor to take on Robo after Weller and he did very well. You can see why they cast him, a background in mime aswell and could look passingly similar to weller.

He was good in the role, not great but good. If the movie script was better and wasn't watered down for kids, I think Robocop 3 would have been a lot better.

If they originally stuck with Frank Miller's (300 & Robocop 2 & Watchmen) script it would have been a better experience than what we got with Robocop 3. FUN FACT Frank Miller produced a 8 part comic which tied the original Robocop 2 & 3 in one strait run it (which originally was intended with the second film) it makes more sense of questions asked of Robocop 2 & 3. What destroyed this film wasn't the actors it was the studio executive's and upper echelon big wigs. And plain as day watering it down for a younger demographic while removing all if any satirical value which practically made the first and second film they knew what they had on thier hands and relied heavily on Rentals Sales for revenues. Plus Ninja Cyborgs come on with about 7 minutes of screen time, it could have all been fixed but laziness, re writes, budget constraints, studio input destroyed this film. This film isn't perfect or God awful it's just a mess basically too many hands in the cookie jar

Yeah Nancy Allen, said in an interview, that it was rushed into production. She said they should have waited a little longer for the original Old man and Peter Weller, and a better director etc. So it sounded like Weller might have done the third, if they held on and worked the story out better etc.

I think Robert Burke was great as RoboCop despite the bad script he had to work with. I think he just got a lot of flack due to coming off the heels of Peter Weller. I get it, Peter Weller is the only true RoboCop and he can be a tough act to follow. Which is why I love how Burke made the role his own while trying give his own unique take on the character instead of trying to imiate Peter. At the end of the day, I can definitely see him in the role a lot more than Joel Kinnamnan.

I absolutely agree with you. Nothing beats Peter Weller's RoboCop but if anyone should succeed Peter Weller, then Burke is the choice. Joel Kinnaman's version is great but IMO, I like all three, as they give their own flavor in portraying the character. It would have been better if Burke and Weller were in cameo roles in the 2014 remake or a planned new reboot, probably as doctors or FBI agents.

Yeah, he was by far the second best Robocop actor. It wasn't his fault the movie was sub par.

I thought Eden was dreadful. Voice was overly robotic.. Had little to no human element. His walk/movements were _way_ too stiff too.. Even for Robocop! That all said though, he was *leagues* ahead of anything Flecher ever did, but that's a whole other story.. That boy was on an entirely different, *unimaginable* level of dreadful.

I liked RoboCop 3 the mistake is comparing him to what Peter Weller did Robert is an actor they chose him he put in the work so go in with that mind set when watching & you realize he did a geat job y'all find anything to want to complain about it's not his fault Peter was done after RoboCop 2 some of y'all talking about he too stiff too stiff? Looks like a nice guy and its not his fault the movie was a disaster but well, he is just not Peter Weller. He has a good voice, easy to the ears but not deep enough for the role. Also, there was something weird with his neutral mouth expression when he had the helmet on, like he tried to look too serious but ended looking grumpy and just goofy. On the other hand without the helmet he looked a little too happy. Some of the movements he got right but not all of them so its looks kinda akward most of the times. I suspected it was not the same guy almost immediately after he makes his full entrance.

Robert did a very good job as Murphy, perhaps the 2nd or 3rd best RoboCop after Weller. Richard Eden also did a very good job especially as time went on during the TV show but Page Fletcher, who infamously was somehow proud he had never seen RoboCop, was absolute trash. and don't get me started about Kinnaman

I too had a complaint about his voice, he was too soft spoken...hard to imagine him delivering (booming) "Come quietly or there will be...trouble" to a fully staffed cocaine factory

@@TruDis01 Eden i think did a pretty good job, but i think he never did the training that weller did, but then again the series may have been done on a fraction of the budget, compared to the films. The Page Fletcher films killed the franchise sadly, no disrespect to Page at all, But it should have been left at the series, with Eden.

Robocop 3 had a very powerful story and is one of the best of all time, sure RJB was nowhere near the level of Peter Weller but he did amazingly well in the role, robocop 3 is better then 2 for a fact.

@@ooOmegaSupremeoo Sure, it can be unpopular but the reasons for that are pretty stupid. People start bombing the movie as soon as they see that weller isn't back, or because of its PG-13 rating. In fact, the movie isn't even given a chance by most people.

Yeah, Robocop 3 wasn't as good as Robocop 2. The action scenes were horrible in 3 -- with very cheap special effects (like the OCP building blowing up). I am shocked at how well executed Robocop 2's fight scene with RoboCain. Considering Peter Weller was wrestling a miniature -- it looks phenomenal.... and it honestly the best stop motion sequence ever filmed for a motion picture.... PERIOD. I like Robocop 3 as well as Robocop: The Series -- but come on, man. Neither one of them were as good as the 2 Peter Weller films.

@@nicoledickson6099 I gave the film a chance, but it just isn't that great. It's watchable, but Robocop literally is lying down for a 3rd of the film's runtime. After Robocop gets damaged, the film is boring as hell. It doesn't pick up again until he gets the jetpack for the last 10 minutes.

This movie sucked so much that I remember people walking out of the theater back in the day. And in my opinion Robert Burke doesn't suit a cyborg cop he was better in the role thinner.
