3:46 The look on Bobbie's face. I cannot believe she only had 3 min AND 20 seconds to interview with Sydney Pollock. Bobbie was a legend even then. Surely she could have been given more time. Who even comes with the, 20 seconds? Just round it off to 4 min..or 5.

Sydney is towing the line making it about an R rating vs NC-17.. What did the test screening of the movie really show? The infamous test screening that Stanley was seen fighting with execs backstage immediately after it shown just a few days before Stanley wound up dead.
@m1lst3r Жыл бұрын
Frankly, it would not make the film worse. Or better. Stanley also was contractually obligated to deliver R rated film.But if studio heads were happy with the film, then so be it.

@@m1lst3r I can’t really watch the movie any more because I realized what the movie shows us really isn’t that crazy at all and I know the version we have access to wasn’t Stanley’s intended vision for the film. It’s a beautiful and funny movie artistically speaking but it’s extremely censored without a doubt

It's interesting to me, because I saw Jan Harlan give an interview recently, I think Rob Agar asked him on video, was something cut from the orgy/ritual scenes and Jan said, oh it was nothing, we knew it had to have certain rating, it was in the contract, Jan blew the whole thing off, and I believe he said Sydney Pollack supervised the job of "fixing" the video to pass the censors. So, that totally clashes with this interview, as Sydney says he knows nothing about it. But I think Jan was dodging the real question, that Agar did not want to spell out, "Was there human sacrifice or child abuse in the deleted scenes?"
