Love this masterpiece action film, it is so iconic and legendary in its rich layered unique original way. And Ray looks so handsome and gorgeous in it. this is a HUGE social piece wrapped in an action movie, actually with many layers and very intelligent authoritarian social structures, the path we are headed because of how we treat things/the values, etc. etc. a commercial enterprise, commodities, slaves, etc.

If I had a choice to stay in the prison he started off in or to be shipped to Absalom, I'd choose Absalom. Even as dangerous as it is, it's still better than being trapped in some cage all day. At least there's a little freedom on the island, especially if you can make it to the Insiders' camp.
