Anne Ramsey had an incredible capacity to play some very scary characters. She went from playing Mama Fratelli in "The Goonies" (1985) to playing the warped, evil, Elvira Parker in "Deadly Friend" (perhaps her scariest role). Then she went on to play Mrs. Lift in "Throw Mama From The Train" (1987), where a few of her scenes frightened me, particularly when pushes Larry (Billy Crystal) down the steps, nearly killing him. All that being said, Anne Ramsey was truly a one-of-a-kind entertainer. There will never be another actress quite like her.

I am late to this party, but I swear Anne played a house mother to a girl's orphanage and the girls tried to kill her, but she rose from the "dead" and went "Michael Myers" on those girls, she was not a villain, she brought frontier justice to those girls, too bad I forgot the name of that movie.

I have loved her in this for decades. She is such a trooper. It warmed my heart that Anne was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for indomiting as *MOMMA* . I believe she died around the time after the Oscar ceremony took place 💙. As for _moi même_ , I finally got "the voice" of *MOMMA* down pat several years ago. Now, when I go to meet up with friends, via rendez-vous or just random encounters with them in the city, I love to *hurl* a MOMMAesque *OWEN* across the road at them to surprise them of the Presence. Of course, the honed style of delivery ends up suprising many others in the vicinity too going by the startled looks I receive, but I really don't care. It also puts a smile on some folks' faces. They *might* be the ones who are in the know. Nothing wrong with a little fun in the life *the clumsy poops* . [ *SLAP* ] ☕💦👏😁 Thank you very much for sharing us this interview 👍👍🏼👍🏿

The bit at the end is a great lesson for those not well acquainted with the craft of film. So many scenes in film show two people having a dialogue. And all the while, the audience has no clue that each person is talking to a camera and not the other person. And then it’s all spliced together in post production.
