Bob you always brighten my day. Thank you. Great advice. I bought an oil paint pen. I was afraid the signature would either bleed through or fade away. You cleared that up. I even thought of signing the back with charcoal and spraying it with final fixative.

Thank you, Bob! I'm embarrassed to say I signed a bunch of early acrylic works on paper with the wrong sort of pen, and found that after a couple of years the signature had disappeared!

Bob, I looooove you and your videos. I see you have also written some books and produced videos. Sigh...you know I'm going to HAVE TO buy some of these. Seriously, I am telling everybody on my Facebook page about how awesome you are. Maybe they'll check you out on KZbin as well. Your advice about collages has got me fired up! In fact, I spent all of this week drawing stuff on black drawing paper so as to photocopy them and incorporate all the stuff into my collages/collage paintings.

Thanks! Another question. Canvas depth and frames I notice this multiple piece which I love, seems to be painted on "skinny" depth canvas. I am in an artist coop that asks that all pieces be framed if not gallery depth. Would love info/video on canvas depth and framing. Hi Junie - Thanks for your message! Just your name - that is all that is necessary. When you sign, be as legible as you can so people can read your name. Then use that same name for your email address, social media and website. Bob

My artwork is signed in print and cursive 😬 I thought some pieces look better printed and others with a signature. Even my signature looks different every time.

I sign my Paintings on the backside. Date , Name and sign i'cant sign it on the Front i often work with abstract materials like sand or Gels looks better too. I use a UV resistant Marker like a Black Copic Marker

In my opinion, oil-based pen markers are the best. The time-honored way is to paint your signature with oil paint. Use a small oil brush. Thanks for asking!
